Overcoming Family Challenges to Help Save More People

(Minghui.org) I’m a Falun Dafa practitioner who started cultivating in 1998. I have persisted on my cultivation path for more than 20 years, even under the CCP’s brutal persecution. I’ve also overcome many social pressures, including resistance from family members, but I continue to tell more people the truth about Dafa.

My Persistence in Reaching Out to My Husband

Even though my husband was a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) member, he initially supported my practicing Falun Dafa after witnessing all the positive changes in me. My health improved, my temper became mild, I took financial gain lightly, and I cared more about the family.

He became scared however when the CCP started the brutal persecution of the practice, and his attitude completely changed. He knew the level of tyranny and brutality the CCP was capable of based on its past history. So when the persecution reached an unprecedented level, with practitioners being persecuted along with their families, my husband and children tried to stop me from practicing. They allowed me to read Dafa books only at home, but forbade me from going out to distribute truth-clarification materials and telling people about the persecution.

Through continued Fa study, I realized that the persecution was controlled by the evil forces of the old universe who prop up the CCP. They try to prevent Dafa disciples from fulfilling their vows of clarifying the truth and saving sentient beings. Master wants to save as many sentient beings as possible and does not acknowledge any of the arrangements made by the old forces. I’m a Dafa disciple, and I should follow the cultivation path arranged by Master in order to save more people and fulfill my mission.

It’s very difficult to get Chinese people to understand the truth, including the families and relatives around us, since they’ve been heavily poisoned by the CCP lies. But we must do it no matter how challenging it is.

With this in mind, I explained to my husband the reasons for withdrawing from the CCP. But he started yelling, and questioned why I was against the CCP, as he thought the CCP was useful because it paid my pension. I explained to him that the pension was earned from my decades of labor at the factory and was part of the compensation I deserved, not some favor given for no reason.

I patiently explained to him that the CCP had persecuted and killed so many Chinese people during its numerous political movements, and now it was persecuting Dafa practitioners. I told him that heaven was going to eliminate it, which would also implicate its members. Our Master is compassionate and asks Dafa disciples to clarify the facts to the precious Chinese people. They can eliminate the evil CCP’s control and have the hope of salvation only by withdrawing from its affiliated organizations. My husband did not listen and started walking away while continuing to scold me.

In another instance, I took a car ride with an acquaintance so I could clarify the truth to him. I told him about the large hidden-character stone in Pingtang County, Guizhou with the message, “The Chinese Communist Party will perish.” engraved on it. I told him this was heaven’s will, and he should withdraw from CCP to keep safe. My husband found out about my car ride and scolded me fiercely, “How dare you do this! Don’t you know he is a CCP cadre (employee), and he could report you and have you put in jail just for distributing a single flyer!”

I felt truly frustrated about the difficulties I was having with saving people, let alone my family members. Master enlightened me and reminded me of other practitioners’ experience sharing articles in Minghui Weekly. The articles talked about how to overcome difficulties and persist in clarifying the truth. I started to send forth righteous thoughts continuously every day to eliminate the old force factors, as well as the CCP’s poisonous propaganda that prevented my husband from understanding the truth. After a month and a half, I approached him again and tried to persuade him to withdraw from the CCP, and he finally agreed. A precious life had accepted the opportunity to be saved!

Overcoming Challenges by Letting Go of Sentiment for Family

My older daughter is a CCP cadre, and my son-in-law is a civil servant. They both tried to stop me from clarifying the truth in public and persuading people to withdraw from the CCP, as they were afraid it could implicate them. My daughter once came to my home and pointed her finger at me angrily, “Don’t go out to distribute those materials! It causes our community cadres to come out and monitor you in the middle of the night. We are so tired!”

Upon hearing this, I didn’t get emotional or say anything. I silently asked Master to strengthen me, and I sent righteous thoughts to eliminate the evil factors controlling her and interfering with Dafa disciples’ efforts to save sentient beings. I must not allow her to commit crimes against Dafa! Afterward, my daughter and son-in-law rarely came home due to being busy with work. Not allowing family members to participate in the persecution or interfere with Dafa disciples telling people the truth is also saving them.

My younger daughter knew she could not stop me from practicing Dafa and going out to clarify the facts to people. So she wanted to break off our mother-daughter relationship. I was calm in facing this test, as I knew there was no interference that could stop me from cultivation practice and saving people. I told her, “I don’t want that to happen, but it is up to you if you want to break off our relationship. I will continue doing what I should do. I have the right to choose the path I want to take and no one should stop me.” Since I had strong and firm righteous thoughts, the interference from sentiment could not move me, and a looming family storm disappeared in the end.

Telling the Truth to More People

The relatives and friends around us are all sentient beings we want to save. Whenever they came to my home, I did not miss the opportunity to tell them the facts and persuade them to withdraw from the CCP. I clarified the truth to my brother, who is a civil servant. He listened to me and accepted the materials I gave him. He believed me when I said he would be blessed for reciting “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He agreed to withdraw from the CCP using his real name. I truly felt happy for him and wish him the best.

My husband’s younger brother was a retired county mayor. I hung the booklet Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party on the door handle of his home, hoping that he would read it. I also visited him to tell him the facts and persuade him to withdraw from CCP. But he did not accept it and ended up dying during the pandemic. I truly regret that I could not save him.

I took every opportunity to approach any strangers who passed by. A woman walked by my house one day, and I told her the truth and persuaded her to withdraw from the CCP and its affiliated organizations. She readily agreed to withdraw from the Young Pioneers. I had a dream that she knelt down in front of me to thank me. Another time, I clarified the truth to two migrant workers, and they agreed to quit the CCP. I had a similar dream that they knelt down in front of me as well.

I saw a vision while in sitting meditation of three electric wires being stretched to the second floor of my house. I did not realize what Master was trying to enlighten me about. Someone later told me that CCP officials were taking turns to monitor me in the alley outside my house. I knew these people were controlled by the evil CCP to persecute Falun Dafa, and we needed to save them. I asked Master to strengthen my righteous thoughts to eliminate the surveillance, stop the old forces from using people to persecute Dafa disciples, and eliminate the evil that was hindering us from saving sentient beings.

Under Master’s protection and strengthening, I’ve done what I should do as a Dafa disciple during all these years. But I know I haven’t done enough, and I’m still far from meeting Master’s requirements. I will strive to do the three things well, fulfill my mission during the Fa-Rectification period, and return to my true home with Master. Thank you, Master, for your compassionate salvation!
