1. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Shi Rui Formally Arrested

Ms. Shi Rui’s case was submitted to the Xinhua District Procuratorate by Xinhua Domestic Security Division captain Niu Ben and instructor Gao Fusong. The procuratorate issued a warrant for her arrest on April 30, 2024. The Domestic Security Division is investigating the case.

2. [Laizhou City, Shandong Province] Practitioners Face Second Trial

Ms. Feng Guoping, Ms. Fang Ruiqin, Gao Rijun (gender unknown), and Mr. Xie Qingcai were arrested in May 2023. They received their second trial notification from the Laizhou Court on May 12, 2024. The trial is scheduled for May 15, 2024.

3. [Mudanjiang City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Zhu Yanping Detained

Ms. Zhu Yanping of Muling City was arrested by two officers at the end of April 2024. She is being held in the Hailin City Detention Center.

4. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Additional News on Practitioners’ Arrests

Eight practitioners were reading Zhuan Falun in Mr. Wu Zhongcai and Ms. Xie Guizhen’s home on the afternoon of May 8, 2024, when they were arrested by about 20 people from the Suining City Domestic Security Division, criminal brigade, a police station in the Anju District, and the Beixing Neighborhood Community.

The arrested practitioners were Mr. Wu Zhongcai and his wife Ms. Xie Guizhen, both in their 80s; Ms. Liu Peipei, in her 40s; Mr. Xie Xusheng; Ms. Wang Xingbi; Ms. Wu Chunzhi; Ms. Wu Aisan; and Ms. Zhu Xinfang.

Police videotaped them, collected samples of their blood, and ransacked their homes. The police seized their Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, computers, more than 3,000 yuan with Falun Gong messaged printed on them, and 2,7000 yuan from Mr. Wu and Ms. Xie’s home. They seized Falun Gong books and a computer from Ms. Wang’s home. They seized Falun Gong books and a picture of the founder of Falun Gong from Ms. Wu Chunzhi’s home.

Ms. Wang, Ms. Wu Chunzhi, Ms. Wu Aisan, Ms. Zhu, Ms. Liu, and Mr. Xie were taken to the Anju District Police Department for interrogation and released on bail on the afternoon of May 9. Mr. Wu and his wife were spared because of their age.

5. [Zhuozhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Guiling Detained

Ms. Wang Guiling was arrested by officer Chen from the Domestic Security Division and officers from the Shuangta Police Station at midnight on April 30, 2024. She was held for 10 days in a detention center. When she returned home, she discovered that the police had stolen her new notebook computer worth several thousand yuan.

6. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Ms. Su Yanying Arrested

Ms. Su Yanying was arrested by Jinqiao Police Station officers on the afternoon of May 9, 2024, when she was distributing Falun Gong flyers. She was taken to a detention center, but the detention center refused to admit her because her blood pressure was too high. She was released on bail after 11:00 p.m. Officers ransacked her home and seized her Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, computers, printers, and other items.

7. [Jiamusi City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Chen Dong Arrested

Mr. Chen Dong works for the Jiansanjiang Reclamation Region’s Qianfeng Farm. He was arrested on May 13, 2024. His printers, Falun Gong books, and other items were confiscated.

8. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Mr. Zhao Ximin and His Wife Arrested

Mr. Zhao Ximin and his wife, who live in Huzhu Village, Wukeshu Town, were arrested on May 8, 2024, by officers from the Wukeshu Police Station, the Liujia Police Station, and the Xianfeng Police Station. The couple was taken to Liujia Police Station and released.

9. [Ning’an City, Heilongjiang Province] Additional News on Arrested Practitioners

Eighteen practitioners were arrested on May 9, 2024. They were: Zhou Xiuhui, Chen Jing, Shang Xiufang, Gong Wenxue, Liu Guiju, Wang Lijun, Wang Limei, Jiang Meiling, Zhou Yanqing, Jin Lian, Zhao Erjie, Zhu Xingzhi, Teacher Wu, Sister Dong, and four others whose names are unknown. Teacher Wu and sister Dong were elderly and were released because of their poor health. The others are being held in either the Mudanjiang Detention Center or the Mudanjiang Detention House.

10. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tang Lirong Sentenced

Mr. Tang Lirong, 68, from the Jingyang District was sentenced to four-and-a-half years in prison. He was put into the Fourth Ward of Jiazhou Prison in Leshan City on January 9, 2024.

11. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Yinzhong and His Wife Detained

Mr. Zhang Yinzhong and his wife were arrested 20 days ago. They are being held in a detention center.

12. [Luoding City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Yang Hongbin Arrested

Mr. Yang Hongbin was arrested at home on the evening of May 11, 2024, by Luoding Domestic Security Division officer Tan Boyong and others. They seized his computer hard drive and Falun Gong pamphlets and took him to the police station. He was released that night.

13. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Mr. Lu Hongyue Held in Brainwashing Center

Mr. Lu Hongyue works for the China Construction Bank. He was arrested and taken to the Wolong Brainwashing Center around May 7, 2024, by police and 610 Office agents.

14. [Yantai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Wang Zenggang Arrested, Wang Dianhua Detained

Wang Dianhua of the Zhifu District, gender unknown, was arrested at home by Huangwu Police Station officers on May 10, 2024. They ransacked the place and seized many personal items. Wang is being held in a detention center.

Mr. Wang Zenggang of Zhichu Village in the Zhifu District was arrested at work on May 9, 2024. His home was ransacked.

15. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Jiang Xiurong Harassed

Ms. Jiang Xiurong lives in Shijia Village. Three officers from the Jiazhen Police Station ransacked her home around 11:00 a.m. on May 13, 2024. They confiscated her Falun Gong books and other items.

16. [Baotou City, Inner Mongolia] Three Practitioners Incarcerated

Ms. Meng Lili, Mr. Zhang Ruitong, and Mr. Wang Ying were taken to the Hohhot City Prison at the end of April 2024.

17. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Practitioners Arrested and Detained

Mr. Sun Chengfu was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Balibao Police Station. His apartment, his sister’s home, and his niece’s home were searched. The police took his niece away but she was released after she got sick. Another practitioner, Ms. Xiong Shiju, was arrested. They are being held in the Weizigou Detention Center.

18. [Suzhou City, Anhui Province] Ms. Hu Jinling and Four Other Practitioners Arrested

Ms. Hu Jinling, Yan Hui, Jiang Jing, Li Xia, and Li Ali were arrested in Ms. Hu’s home by Dangshan County 110 Hot-line agents and Domestic Security Division officers on the afternoon of November 19, 2023. Ms. Hu’s home was ransacked. Her Falun Gong books, a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, paper currency with Falun Gong messages printed on the bills, computers, and other items were confiscated. The five practitioners were released separately that night. Ms. Hu was subjected to release on bail in January 2024.

19. [Guiyang City, Guizhou Province] Ms. Huang Xia Detained

Ms. Huang Xia lives in the Teacher’s New Village. Kaiyang County Police Station officers and the Yunkai Neighborhood Community director ransacked her home on July 14, 2023. The police confiscated her Falun Gong books, cell phone, and other items.

Wu, the police station instructor, told her to pick up her confiscated books in Yunkai Square in Kaiyang County on July 14, 2023. When she got there, instead of returning her books, the police dragged her into a police car, handcuffed her, drove her to a hospital, and subjected her to a physical exam, a prerequisite for being admitted to a detention center. She was put into the Sanjiang Detention Center around 9:00 p.m. She was detained for 15 days.
