(Minghui.org) May 13, 2024 is the 25th World Falun Dafa Day and the 32nd anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction. Members of New York City Council wrote letters to recognize the occasion and thank practitioners for their contribution to the community.
Letter from Joseph C. Borelli, Minority Leader of New York City Council, District 51
The letter reads, “It is with great pleasure to acknowledge Falun Dafa Month, as its message continues to spread attributes of truth, compassion, and forbearance.
“Please join me in honoring Falun Gong practitioners for their dedication and hard work to uplift the community through methods of engagement to support their mission for self-improvement, achieved through gentle exercises and meditation that help to bring enhanced health benefits and stress relief.”
Letter from Sandra Ung, Member of New York City Council, District 20
The letter reads, “Strong values are crucial to our society as a way to connect people of different social, cultural, and political backgrounds. Thank you for bringing classes, programs, arts, and performances to our community.”
