(Minghui.org) I am a doctor. I started practicing Falun Dafa when I was 28. It has been almost 30 years since then. Although I have encountered many tribulations along the way, I am grateful for the opportunity to practice Dafa. I would like to share some of the moments in my cultivation.
On July 20, 1999, the Chinese Communist Party launched the persecution, and the state-controlled propaganda machine was in full swing to smear Falun Gong, especially the Tiananmen Square self-immolation hoax, which deceived almost all Chinese people, including children.
One day, my fourth grader son came home from school and cried to me, “My classmates are cursing you in my face, do you know how I feel?” Looking at my son’s innocent face, I had mixed feelings and had to swallow my tears. My husband, who heard what he said, also looked depressed.
I realized that only when the lies are exposed can there be hope for everyone. The country has no future if it is a crime to follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to be a good person. It is difficult to walk the righteous path, but it is the right path.
Meanwhile, I also understand the pressure my family was under. I tried my best to treat them well. The family environment also provides many opportunities for me to improve my character. When they saw the changes in me from practicing Dafa, they stopped trying to persuade me to give up Dafa. They are also blessed for their kindness. Now my son has become a successful man and my husband has come out of his depression. The whole family is happy.
At work, the competition among doctors for promotion is fierce. Under the communist rule in China, all kinds of counterfeit products have become commonplace, including drugs. Most people would do anything to get ahead. But as a Falun Dafa practitioner, I must stick to my principles.
Master said, “as a cultivator should follow the course of nature. If something is yours, you will not lose it. If something is not yours, you will not have it even if you fight for it.” (Lecture Seven, Zhuan Falun)
Last year, I published a paper without fabricating the data and as a result, I was promoted this year.
In 2015, I filed a criminal complaint with the Supreme People’s Court against Jiang Zemin, the former head of the communist regime who ordered the persecution. I was blacklisted by the local police department. They repeatedly harassed me, instructed my hospital to pressure me to sign the statements renouncing my faith, and threatened to fire me and implicate my son.
On a day off from work, I was summoned to the police station for questioning. “Do you have faith?” one of the officers asked.
When I said I believed everyone should have their own faith, he asked, “What is yours?”
I said, “I believe in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.” Suddenly the air seemed to freeze, and everyone was silent.
Then they took out a letter and asked me if I'd written it. I looked at it and said that I had.When they asked why I'd put my fingerprint on it, I said, “To prove it was written by a real person.”“Do you have any health problems?” they wanted to know, and I told them I was very healthy. “Then why do you practice Falun Gong?” they asked. I said, “Because I think it is good to practice Falun Gong. Isn’t Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance good? If everyone follows these principles, the society will be harmonious. I’m just stating the facts and my personal experience in this letter. I didn’t break any law, and I believe that one day everyone will know Falun Gong is good.”
They laughed and said, “You'll never see that day.”
I said with conviction, “I will definitely see that day.”
Then they tried to take my photo and record my fingerprints. But they tried three times and could not record my fingerprints. They said the machine was broken, but I knew it was Master protecting me.
Soon I left the police station and went to my night shift on time.
I have always firmly believed that I am walking on the right path: to be a good person who lives by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and to be a noble person who always thinks of others. I hope that more people will work together to stop the persecution of Falun Gong, to end this inhuman moral catastrophe, and to uphold justice for mankind.
