(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Li Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
2. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Feng Guichun Faces Third Hearing
3. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Rangfang Detained
4. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Fengli Arrested
5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Song Xiaohua Arrested and Detained
6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Eight Practitioners Sentenced to Prison or Face Trial
7. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Shouxiang and Ms. Pan Xiumei Harassed
8. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Ms. Meng Yuzhen Missing
9. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Guilan and Ms. Zhang Shuhua Persecuted
1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Li Li Sentenced to Three Years in Prison
Ms. Li Li from Pingdu City was sentenced to three years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan. She has appealed.
2. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Feng Guichun Faces Third Hearing
Ms. Feng Guichun who works at a blood collection center has been detained for more than seven months. She was tried twice in the Lanshan District Court on January 18, 2024 and then on March 27, 2024, but no verdict was issued. She will be tried again by the Linyi City Court on April 9, 2024.
3. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Rangfang Detained
Ms. Liu Rangfang, 69, from No. 1 Branch of 852 Farm of Baoqing County, was arrested in 2023 and sent to the Shuangyashan City Detention Center.
Ms. Liu was sentenced to three years in prison and released in December 2022 after her sentence was finished.
4. [Fengcheng City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Jiang Fengli Arrested
Ms. Jiang Fengli was arrested by officers from the Baiqi Police Station when she distributed truth-clarifying materials in the Baiqi Town Market on March 29, 2024. She is detained in Dandong City.
Earlier, Ms. Jiang was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and was released in April 2023.
5. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Song Xiaohua Arrested and Detained
Ms. Song Xiaohua from Shuangcheng District, 74, was arrested on March 11, 2024. She was held in the Yaziquan Detention Center. She may be tried in three months.
6. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Eight Practitioners Sentenced to Prison or Face Trial
Six practitioners from Shijiazhuang City have been tried and sentenced to prison by the Qiaoxi District Court. They are Ms. Liu Shunzhi, Ms. Liang Yening, Ms. Pu Xingchi, Ms. Hu Yuexia, Mr. Liu Peng, and Mr. Wang Bingcheng.
The case against Ms. Gao Ruiqin from Luancheng District was submitted to the Qiaoxi District Court.
Ms. Li Lixia from Qiaoxi District was recently arrested by officers from the Zhentou Police Station and held in the No. 2 Detention Center.
7. [Qingzhou City, Shandong Province] Mr. Zhang Shouxiang and Ms. Pan Xiumei Harassed
Mr. Zhang Shouxiang was harassed at his home in Caojia Village, Huanglou Sub-district by two young policemen on March 11, 2024. They photographed him.
Ms. Pan Xiumei from Luli Village of the Huanglou Sub-district was harassed by officers from the Qingzhou City Police Department.
8. [Changle County, Shandong Province] Ms. Meng Yuzhen Missing
Ms. Meng Yuzhen from Changle County has been missing since March 8, 2024.
9. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Liu Guilan and Ms. Zhang Shuhua Persecuted
Ms. Liu Guilan and Ms. Zhang Shuhua were recorded by surveillance cameras when they distributed information about Falun Gong and were arrested by officers from the Zhengyang Police Station at 7 p.m., December 23, 2023. Ms. Zhang Shuhua was released later that day. Ms. Liu Guilan was held for 13 days in a detention house and was later transferred to a detention center on January 5, 2024.
On January 5, 2024 Ms. Zhang Shuhua was informed by officers including Yan Guohui, head of the Domestic Security Division, that she was placed on bail pending trial.
