(Minghui.org) Practitioners from Romania and the Republic of Moldova held an Information Day at the Ocnele Mari Salt Mine in Olt Valley, a beautiful tourist attraction in Romania, on March 24, 2024. The mine predates the Roman Empire, and in 1912 people began visiting the site for the curative properties of the salt.

Practitioners set up display boards and banners and demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises. People were attracted by the soothing exercise music and talked with the practitioners. Falun Dafa’s principles, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, resonated with them.

“Falun Dafa feels calm and peaceful,” one person said. This was a typical comment made by visitors to the booth. Some said they would read more about Falun Dafa on the website. Others said they were interested in reading the book Zhuan Falun.

Practitioners held an Information Day in Romania

Four students from Bucharest and Pitești were drawn to the exercises. They stopped to watch the demonstration and chatted with practitioners.

“Their exercise movements calm my mind,” said Stefania. Claudiu, another student, said that the Chinese words on the practitioners’ shirts reminded him of martial arts and made him curious. After hearing that Falun Dafa's principles are Truthfulness-Compassion-Tolerance, they expressed their admiration.

“Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance are so important in our society! We would be better people if we followed them,” Stefania said, “What they are doing inspires me to have self control and to be peaceful.”

Claudiu was impressed with the synchronization of the practitioners’ movements and their concentration in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the tourist spot. “They probably relax well mentally, which gives them great confidence in what they are doing,” Claudiu said.

A high school student took an introductory flyer and read the book The Lotus Story, which teaches children about Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. “How beautiful the world would be if everyone in the world could stick to these principles,” she said. She couldn’t believe such a great practice is persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party.

Andreea, a tourist, said that she enjoyed the atmosphere of calmness and balance that she felt from the Falun Dafa exercises and music.

Aneta Rizea, 78 and from Bârla township, Argeș County, told a practitioner that people were moving further and further away from morality and faith that the divine gave to humanity. Instead, they were taking an easier path that would ultimately result in more misery. She hopes that practitioners will continue to tell people about Falun Dafa and its values to bring more people back to a positive way of life. “I encourage you to keep doing these things so that goodness can reach people,” Aneta said.

Aneta believes that living by Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance can help people get out of society's moral crisis.

A couple who came to the town to treat the wife’s asthma were interested in learning Falun Dafa, especially after practitioners told them about the benefits of practicing. The wife said, “I heard people were persecuted and even killed in China for doing this practice. I can’t understand why the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) is doing this.”

A practitioner told them about the persecution and recommended that they read the Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party. The couple also asked where they could get a copy of the book Zhuan Falun. The husband said, “We hope the persecution will end as soon as possible. Thank you for this information. We wish you continued success in what you are doing.”
