Germany: Members of State Parliament Hold Signs to Support Events Marking the April 25 Appeal

(Minghui.org) On April 20, 2024, Falun Dafa practitioners in Germany held an event to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the April 25 appeal at the Stock Exchange Square (Börsenplatz auf Hauptwache) in the center of Frankfurt, the capital of Hesse. Three elected officials held up signs at the information booth to support practitioners’ efforts to expose the CCP’s (Chinese Communist Party) persecution.

Three Green Party members of the Hessian State Parliament in Frankfurt joined the practitioners’ event and held up signs to express their support. They are Miriam Dahlke MSP, former Deputy Speaker of the State Parliament Karin Müller (retired earlier this year), and Martina Feldmayer MSP.

In addition, Oliver Stirboeck, a member of the Liberal Democratic Party of the Hessian State Parliament, sent local practitioners a photo of himself holding a placard in his office in support of the April 25 commemorative activities.

Chinese Renounce the Chinese Communist Party 

That same day, practitioners held an information day event at Karlsplatz in Munich, the capital of Bavaria. Passers-by signed the petition calling to end the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of Falun Dafa. Many Chinese students and tourists withdrew from the CCP and its affiliated organizations during the event.

An international student from China in his twenties had a long conversation with a practitioner and said that he did not know much about Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong). The practitioner explained in detail what Falun Gong is, why the CCP persecutes practitioners, and how practitioners around the world work tirelessly to expose the persecution through various means. He listened carefully and said he knew the CCP was bad. 

The practitioner told the student that they were holding the event in hopes that everyone would know that Falun Gong is good. The CCP has been slandering Falun Gong, and many Chinese people have been misled by the CCP’s lies. The practitioner also told him the importance of quitting the CCP organizations. The student agreed to quit the Communist Young Pioneers.

Another student from China listened carefully as practitioners described Falun Gong, and he quit the Communist Youth League on the spot. A Chinese who had been overseas for many years took a lot of information and also withdrew from the Communist Youth League.

Two Chinese tourists saw that many Western practitioners were doing the Falun Gong exercises, and they talked to them for a long time. A Chinese tourist smiled and nodded frequently while listening, and then agreed to withdraw from the CCP-affiliated organizations.
