Clarifying the Truth at Work

(Minghui.org) I had worked with my boss and colleagues for six or seven years. I felt sorry that I did not clarify the truth to them in the past. There were also colleagues who had left the company. I had worked with them for several years and did not clarify the truth to them. I was anxious about not having done well in this regard.

Serious Illness Symptoms of My Practitioner Husband Help with Truth Clarification

Some time in 2017, my practitioner husband suffered serious illness symptoms. With Master’s compassion, my husband made it through the tribulation after two weeks. Not long after my husband’s tribulation, my brother-in-law was diagnosed with cancer and required surgery.

All the issues we faced were in addition to my mother-in-law not being able to take care of herself. I had to ask for a leave of absence from work to handle the family issues. My boss was sympathetic about my difficulties and approved my request. However, I felt uneasy for not having clarified the truth to him in the past. I considered using the situation of my husband’s recovery without taking medicine to tell my boss the facts about Dafa.

Because I had requested a leave, my company’s VP (vice president) asked me about my situation. I talked to him about my family’s issues, and I naturally told him the facts about Dafa. l told him that it is a cultivation practice in the Buddha school and is of a righteous faith. I said that my husband had a liver issue, and he recovered without medical intervention because of practicing Dafa. I also told him that my mother-in-law recovered from several illnesses by believing in Dafa.

He said he respected any faith, and he did not disagree with people practicing qigong for better health. But, when I talked about gods, he said, “In broad daylight, you say there are gods in the sky? I don’t believe it.” I asked him, “Air exists, can you see it? And can you see the wind blowing? When you talked to people on the phone, did you see the radio waves? You studied physics, right? You believe that objects are made of molecules. The bridge railing is made of molecules, within which are electrons moving around neutrons, can you see them?” He thought for a while and said, “Your statement gives me something to think about.” This was the first time that we talked about my practice and the existence of gods.

Letting Go of WeChat (a Chinese social media platform)

When the Minghui website informed practitioners not to use WeChat anymore, I hesitated for two months because not using WeChat would make it inconvenient for me to communicate with my boss and colleagues. After I deleted it from my cell phone, I had to make more phone calls and had to visit related personnel more frequently. Since I was a key technical person in the company, the boss and the VP were not happy about my not using WeChat. They thought it could slow down our communication and jeopardize the work.

I promised that not using WeChat would not slow down my work, but they still were not happy about it, and wanted to communicate with me easily. Colleagues also started asking me the reasons for not using it. I realized that I should clarify the truth to them and help them understand why I stopped using WeChat.

The VP had a meeting with me and asked why I stopped using WeChat. I told him that communications on WeChat are under surveillance. If we practitioners use Wechat, we would put ourselves under the CCP’s (Chinese Communist Party) surveillance and if we use it to clarify the truth to people, we would get into trouble and be persecuted. I asked for his understanding and assured him that my work would not slow down or suffer in any way for not using WeChat. He told the boss what I said. I later gave my boss and the VP flash drives in 2019, and they accepted the drives. The flash drive included the video “Coming for You,” showing that the Tiananmen self-immolation was staged to deceive people and persecute Dafa practitioners, and other contents.

After the Chinese New Year holiday, my company experienced significant personnel changes and my boss was not in a good mood. One day, when he and I were the only ones around, he mentioned that he was not in good health. I told him, “Falun Dafa has effective healing and fitness benefits. Sincerely reciting, ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’ brings blessings, ensures one’s safety during hard times, and it is very good for your health. It would be good to recite the phrases often.”

I asked him, “Have you heard about quitting the CCP and its youth organizations to ensure a safe future? It means that you will no longer be associated with all the CCP’s evil deeds and karma. Gods and Buddhas will bless you if you quit the CCP and its youth organizations that you joined before.” He said that he had heard about it and agreed to quit this time. I was happy for him.

As we walked to the elevator while leaving for home, he asked me to repeat the two phrases for him. I told him again, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” I said, “I will give you an amulet tomorrow. It has both phrases on it, and you should recite them often.” I couldn’t find the amulet after I got home, but I found a lotus pendant with the phrases on it, and it looked beautiful. I put it in an envelope and gave it to him the next day. He accepted it with both hands.

My not using WeChat did make communication for work more difficult. I tried my best to make up for the inconvenience, and dealt with the needs of the business in a timely manner. As a result, my work was not impacted. My boss showed great understanding, and he told me, “Don’t use it if it brings you pressure. Being happy is the most important thing.” He told me on another occasion, “Since you have chosen it for yourself, then follow your heart.” I was very touched. Another life was saved, and I was happy for him.

The VP Quits the CCP

When the epidemic broke out in 2020, I talked to the VP about quitting the CCP and its youth organizations to ensure a safe future. I said, “When a person has a thought, heaven and earth would know it. Please quit the CCP.” He didn’t say anything, and I sensed that he was afraid. The CCP has brutally suppressed the Chinese people throughout its political campaigns. I did not push him, thinking it was probably better to talk to him at a later time.

Master published “How Humankind Came To Be” in 2023, and I was deeply moved after reading it. I wrote a letter to the VP and included a copy of the scripture. In the letter I asked him to be respectful of the scripture and treat it with care or return it to me after reading it. After the Chinese New Year holiday, I gave the letter to him at work. I said, “Please carefully read the scripture I included. There are many disasters now. My Master is saving all the people in the world who can be saved.” He felt my kindness, and he told me that he respected my faith and accepted what I told him. I asked him not to stand with the evil, and advised him to quit the CCP. I said to him, “God looks at people’s hearts. Quit atheism, God will bless you.” This time, he agreed to quit.

I also brought a copy of the scripture to my boss, and I said, “Please read the scripture. Many disasters are happening now, and my Master is saving everyone who can be saved. Please be respectful of the scripture and take care of it or return it to me after reading it.” He immediately read the scripture and returned it to me after reading it. In reference to the article, he told me that he wanted to be a good person and be nice to others, and in the end he said to me sincerely, “Thank you!”

I am grateful to Master for teaching me to be a good person and a true cultivator following Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Master’s teaching has helped me understand the meaning of life in a world that is filled with temptations, and helped me keep a bright and broad mind in this chaotic world!
