(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 17 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

5. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Du Yingfen’s Home Ransacked
6. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Liguo and Ms. Xin Haiyan Arrested
7. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Wanmei’s Home Ransacked
8. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Elderly Ms. Shi Arrested
9. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Xianbi Arrested

1. [Shaoguan City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Li Jianqiang in Prison
Mr. Li Jianqiang was sentenced to about seven years in prison in 2019 and was held in Beijiang Prison.
2. [Xingtai City, Hebei Province] Ms. Wang Sanni Arrested
Ms. Wang Sanni was arrested at her home in Xinanzhuang Village, Huining Township, Xindu District, by three officers from the Huining Township Police Station on the morning of March 6, 2024.
3. [Neijiang City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Tan Shuncheng Arrested, His Wife Commits Suicide Under Pressure
Mr. Tan Shuncheng and six other practitioners were arrested when they studied the Falun Dafa teachings at a practitioner’s home on September 12, 2023. The police broke in and ransacked the place. They confiscated Falun Gong books and personal belongings. The six practitioners were released on bail and returned home separately. Mr. Tan is still in custody. His case has been turned over to the procuratorate.
After Mr. Tan was taken into custody, his daughter’s mental illness worsened. His wife was intimidated and coerced by CCP officials. She could not bear the pressure and committed suicide by drowning herself in a river before February 9, which was Chinese New Year’s Eve. His daughter was taken to a mental hospital.
It has been nearly a month since Mr. Tan’s wife committed suicide, and her body is still at the funeral home. Mr. Tan’s relatives strongly urged officials to release him so that he could return home, arrange for his wife’s funeral, and help his daughter. The officials refused to release him.
4. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Xing Yun Arrested
Xing Yun (gender unknown) was arrested on March 6, 2024.
5. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Du Yingfen’s Home Ransacked
Zhenjiang Road Police Station officers went to Ms. Du Yingfen’s home on February 28, 2024, ransacked it, and confiscated five Falun Gong books and an MP3 player.
6. [Hegang City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Wang Liguo and Ms. Xin Haiyan Arrested
Mr. Wang Liguo from the the Xing’an District was arrested and detained for ten days at the end of September 2023.
Ms. Xin Haiyan from the Dongshan District was arrested and taken to the police station at the end of August 2023. She was released that day.
7. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Wanmei’s Home Ransacked
Ms. Yang Wanmei’s home in Xinbin County was ransacked on the morning of March 5, 2024, by Chi Feng, head of the Xinbin County Domestic Security Division, along with officers from the Xinbin Town Police Station and community management personnel.
They confiscated Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, a computer, and a printer. Ms. Yang and her older brother were taken to the police department for interrogation. They returned home more than four hours later.
8. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Elderly Ms. Shi Arrested
Ms. Shi, 80, was seen on surveillance cameras when she distributed Falun Gong materials. She was arrested by officers from the Dongzhou District Police Department on March 4, 2024. They ransacked her home and confiscated a computer and a printer. She is being held in the Nanhuayuan area.
9. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Liu Xianbi Arrested
Ms. Liu Xianbi, in her 60s, from Jinqiao Town was followed and arrested on February 9, 2024. She is being held in the Yongxing Detention Center in Suining City.
10. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Mr. Yang Xuegui Arrested
Mr. Yang Xuegui from the Chengguan District was arrested on March 4, 2022, by officers from Anning Police Department and the Jingyuan Road Police Station. His home was ransacked.
