(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 18 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Caiyun Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison
2. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Zhang Jiyun Arrested
3. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Yuan Jinglian and Practitioner Feng Arrested
4. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhang Zimin Arrested and Detained
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested and Detained
6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested
7. [Shanghai] Ms. Xie Hongzhu Placed Under Residential Surveillance
8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. You Yuxuan Arrested and Detained
9. [Xingning City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Xiaolan Released from Prison
1. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Caiyun Sentenced to 4 Years in Prison
Ms. Wang Caiyun, 70, was sentenced to four years in prison and was taken to the Liaoning Province Women’s Prison on March 4, 2024.
2. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Zhang Jiyun Arrested
Zhang Jiyun (gender unknown), 64, was arrested by officers from the Sucao Police Station on the morning of February 26, 2024. Her home was ransacked. Her Falun Gong books and other personal belongings were confiscated.
3. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Yuan Jinglian and Feng Arrested
Ms. Yuan Jinglian was arrested recently and detained.
Feng (gender unknown) was arrested on the street by officers from the Huanglong Police Station on March 6, 2024. Feng was detained for four days.
4. [Tianshui City, Gansu Province] Mr. Zhang Zimin Arrested and Detained
Mr. Zhang Zimin from Nanhechuan Town of Maiji District, 67, was intercepted at the Tianshui Railway Station on the evening of February 28, 2024 when he was going through the security checkpoint. His bag was searched and the police found his Falun Gong books. He was arrested and taken to the Maiji District Detention Center. He was threatened and told if he refused to write the four statements, he would not be released.
5. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Four Practitioners Arrested and Detained
Three practitioners, Ms. Zhang Yumei, Ms. Dong Yuechun and Huang, were arrested on February 23 and 24, 2024. They were detained for 10 days.
Ms. Li Xiuqin from Ganjingzi District was arrested recently. She was placed under 15-day detention and held in the No. 2 Detention House of Dalian City.
6. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested
Five practitioners from Kangping County were arrested on March 4, 2024. They are Ms. Yu Hongyan, Liu Feng (gender unknown), Ms. Liu Guiying, Ms. Yin Yunzhen, and Ms. Cheng Guohui, Their homes were ransacked. Ms. Yu Hongyan and Liu Feng were detained and the others were released.
Zhang Yin’s home was ransacked by officers from the Zhennan Police Station in Kangping County. The police confiscated Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, MP3 players, truth clarifying materials, and other belongings. Zhang Yin was placed under 15-day detention.
Ms. Wang Hongying from Kangping County was arrested recently and was taken to the Zaohua Detention Center in Shenyang City.
7. [Shanghai] Ms. Xie Hongzhu Placed Under Residential Surveillance
Ms. Xie Hongzhu from the Jing’an District was placed under 24-hour residential surveillance due to the CCP’s “Two Sessions.”
8. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. You Yuxuan Arrested and Detained
Ms. You Yuxuan was arrested by officers from the Dagang Road Police Station on March 1, 2024. She was detained in a brainwashing center.
9. [Xingning City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Xiaolan Released from Prison
Ms. Wu Xiaolan was arrested in Foshan City on September 2, 2021 and was later sentenced to two and a half years in prison. She was sent to the Guangdong Province Women’s Prison and was released on March 5, 2024.
