(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 6 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Lianzhen Sentenced to Five Years in Prison
2. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Ying Aiyun Has a Stroke Due to Abuse
3. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Lihui Sentenced to Prison
4. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Huang Xiangrong Arrested
5. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Wang Tai Arrested
6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Surong Detained
1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Chen Lianzhen Sentenced to Five Years in Prison
Ms. Chen Lianzhen from the Kuancheng District was arrested on February 18, 2023, for distributing Falun Gong materials. She was sentenced to five years in prison. She is being held in Jilin Province Women’s Prison.
2. [Jinyun County, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Ying Aiyun Has a Stroke Due to Abuse
Ms. Ying Aiyun had a stroke due to the abuse she was subjected to in Lishui Prison in early 2024. Her son and daughter visited her and submitted a request for medical parole.. It was denied.
Ms. Ying was arrested on September 21, 2021, the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival. After being held in custody for one year, she was sentenced to four years in prison by the Jinyun County Court.
3. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Lihui Sentenced to Prison
Ms. Zhang Lihui, 48, was arrested and her home ransacked on September 29, 2022. She was held in Changchun City Detention Center.
It was not until recently that people heard from Ms. Zhang’s relatives and friends that Ms. Zhang had been sentenced to two years in prison in 2023. She is being held in Jilin Province Women’s Prison.
4. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Huang Xiangrong Arrested
Ms. Huang Xiangrong from Xinbin County was arrested and her home was ransacked on March 4, 2024.
5. [Linqu County, Shandong Province] Wang Tai Arrested
Wang Tai from the Songshan area was followed and arrested for givng out Falun Gong keepsakes at a farmers market on February 26, 2024. Wang was taken to a police station and forced to pay 3,000 yuan before being released on bail. Two people who took the keepsakes were also arrested, taken to the police station, and questioned.
6. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Ms. Ma Surong Detained
In August 2023 Ms. Ma Surong from the Hanting District was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was arrested by officers from Xuanwu Street Police Station and detained for five days.
