(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 4 cities or counties in 2 provinces, where at least 4 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ning Changzhi Imprisoned
2. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhang Jinshui Persecuted
3. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Pan Liping Arrested and Detained
4. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhengming Arrested
1. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ning Changzhi Imprisoned
Ms. Ning Changzhi has been transferred from the Huludao Detention Center to No. 2 Women’s Prison of Liaoning Province.
2. [Tianjin] Mr. Zhang Jinshui Persecuted
Mr. Zhang Jinshui was arrested by officers from the Xinqu Police Station in Jinghai District on December 19, 2023. The police ransacked two of his properties and confiscated a computer, printer, truth clarifying materials, and other items. Mr. Zhang was detained in a detention center and was released on bail pending trial on the evening of January 26, 2024.
Mr. Zhang had been sentenced to 10 years in prison because he refused to renounce Falun Gong. After he was released in 2019, he has been constantly harassed. The police secretly installed a monitoring device on his vehicle.
3. [Cangzhou City, Hebei Province] Ms. Pan Liping Arrested and Detained
Ms. Pan Liping, a doctor from Huabei Oil Field, Renqiu City in her 60's, was going to take a train in the Renqiu Train Station on January 25, 2024 to visit her children. She was intercepted and body searched. Her laptop computer and over 1,000 yuan in cash were confiscated. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated.
Ms. Pan was taken to the Shijiazhuang City Railway Police Department and was detained four days. She was denied admission by the detention center due to her high blood pressure and was released on bail pending trial with a deposit of 10,000 yuan on January 28, 2024.
4. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Zhengming Arrested
Mr. Wang Zhengming, 62, from the Wanghua District was arrested by plainclothes officers for talking to people about Falun Gong in a shopping center in the Wanghua District on January 26, 2024. He was taken to the Jianshe Police Station and was allowed to leave later. The police ransacked his home that evening, but did not find what they were looking for.
