(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] The Case Against Ms. Gu Li Submitted to the Court
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Tao Yongxian Arrested and Detained
4. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] The Case Against Ms. Xu Zhiying Submitted to the Court
5. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Guangzhi Arrested
6. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Qun’e Arrested and Detained
7. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Lanqin Arrested
8. [Yichun City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Liao Haimei Arrested and Detained
9. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Chengjie Released Soon after Being Detained for 12 Years
1. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] The Case Against Ms. Gu Li Submitted to the Court
Ms. Gu Li from Jinpu New District was arrested for saying “Falun Dafa is good” and was placed under residential surveillance for half a year. She was arrested approximately 9 months ago. Her family recently received a notice from the Pulandian Procuratorate that her case was submitted to the Pulandian Court.
2. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Four practitioners were arrested by police in Yilan County on February 8, 2024. The practitioners are Ms. Fu Guiqin, 73, Ms. Wang Yumei, Gao, and Mr. Wang Fuyou, 82. The police also confiscated a large number of items related to Falun Gong.
3. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Tao Yongxian Arrested and Detained
Ms. Tao Yongxian from Mulan County was arrested at her home by police in Mulan County on January 31, 2024. She is held in the No.2 Detention Center of Harbin City.
4. [Leshan City, Sichuan Province] The Case Against Ms. Xu Zhiying Submitted to the Court
The case against Ms. Xu Zhiying was submitted to the Leshan City Court by the Zhong District Procuratorate on January 25, 2024.
5. [Haicheng City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Li Guangzhi Arrested
Mr. Li Guangzhi, 70, lives in Teng’ao Town. Several police officers went to his home around 8 a.m. on January 9, 2024. They ransacked his home and confiscated a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, an entire set of Falun Gong books, a laptop, a cell phone, and about 50 copies of truth clarifying materials. Mr. Li was taken to the police station for interrogation. He was placed under 15-day detention but was denied admission due to his high blood pressure. He was released around midnight.
6. [Chenzhou City, Hunan Province] Ms. Li Qun’e Arrested and Detained
Ms. Li Qun’e was arrested by police when she was distributing information about Falun Gong in Yangshi Town, Guiyang County on January 28, 2024. She was first interrogated at the local police station and then transferred to the Guiyang County Police Department. She was sent to the Guiyang County Detention House.
7. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Zhang Lanqin Arrested
Ms. Zhang Lanqin lives in Beihuapen Village, Qianmodou Town, Shenzhou City. She was arrested by three plainclothes officers from the Qianmodou Town Police Station on January 4, 2024, for talking to people about Falun Gong. After her family was extorted 3000 yuan, she was released.
8. [Yichun City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Liao Haimei Arrested and Detained
Ms. Liao Haimei from Zhangshu City was followed by two officers Lu Xianming and Shu Qiang for months before she was arrested on October 10, 2023. She was taken to the Yichun Detention Center but was denied admission due to her health. Officer Lu Xianming kept her in the detention center for three days. She was released on bail pending trial.
9. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Chengjie Released After Being Detained for 12 Years
Mr. Zhang Chengjie was arrested on February 25, 2012, and was later sentenced to 12 years in prison. He has been detained in the Jinzhou Prison and will be released on February 24, 2024.
