(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 12 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yubo Faces Trial

7. [Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Practitioners Arrested
8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Xiaodong Sentenced
1. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Yubo Faces Trial
Ms. Liu Yubo, 64, lives in Xingcheng City. She was arrested and detained by officers from the Domestic Security Division on December 28, 2023. Police said she was released on bail five years ago.
Her case was submitted to the Lianshan District Court on February 1, 2024.
2. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Attorney Visit Denied by Warden
Dongying practitioners Ms. Wang Fan, Mr. Du Jianxin, Mr. Zhang Aiquan, and Shouguang practitioner Fu Jian, gender unknown, were arrested by officers from the Binhai Police Department on November 29, 2023. They have since been detained.
Ms. Wang and her husband Mr. Du are being held in the Binhai Detention Center. Their son hired an attorney for them. But the detention center did not allow the attorney to visit them. Ms. Wang launched a hunger strike to protest and was force-fed by guards.
3. [Yiyang City, Hunan Province] Mr. Zhang Chunqiu Arrested
Mr. Zhang Chunqiu was released from the Wangling Prison in Zhuzhou City in mid-2023. He was arrested at home at the end of 2023. His whereabouts are unknown.
4. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Zhang Sifeng Released
Mr. Zhang Sifeng was released before Chinese New Year after he had been held for about two months in the Hanyang Brainwashing Center.
5. [Guanghan City, Sichuan Province] Ma Dengxiu Arrested
Ma Dengxiu, gender unknown, was arrested by plainclothes officers from the Luocheng Police Station on the morning of December 15, 2023, when he or she was posting Falun Gong flyers. Ma was taken to the police station and was released that day.
Officers ransacked Ma’s home, seized two Falun Gong books, a VCD, a player, 65 yuan with Falun Gong messages printed on them, and other items.
6. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Ling Haijie Faces Indictment
Ms. Ling Haijie lives in the Yangjiazhangzi Development District. She talked to three middle school students about the persecution of Falun Gong near the Maoqitun Vegetable Market on the morning of January 17, 2024. She was reported and was arrested by officers from the Yangjiazhangzi Police Station. Officers ransacked her home, seized two notebook computers, a printer, Falun Gong books, and other items. She is being held in the Huludao City Detention Center. The Lianshan District Procuratorate returned her case to the Yangjiazhangzi Police Department. But it will be resubmitted to the procuratorate.
7. [Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province] Practitioners Arrested
Yu Mei, gender unknown, was arrested at home by a group of officers from the Rui’an City Domestic Security Division on February 5, 2024. They ransacked the place and seized a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, paper currency with Falun Gong messages printed on them, and other items. At the same time, seven or eight officers arrested Ms. Fan Meihong, seized a picture of the founder of Falun Gong, Falun Gong books, paper currency with Falun Gong messages printed on it, and other items. Several officers arrested Ms. Chen Hemei.
Yu Mei was released because of high blood pressure.
8. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Zhang Xiaodong Sentenced
Mr. Zhang Xiaodong of Dalian Development District was sentenced to four-and-a-half-years in prison. He is being held in the Dalian Prison. His prison term will end on March 17, 2024. Guards do not allow his family to visit him because he refused to renounce Falun Gong.
