(Minghui.org) From Karl Marx to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), communism has long aimed to eradicate faith and sever people’s connection with the divine. In China, this led to the destruction of thousands of years of culture and tradition. Elsewhere, it similarly erodes moral values and turns people against the divine.
Fortunately, this Red Tide appears to be receding, and more people have recognized the danger of the CCP and begun taking concrete actions to counter communist influence. In the United States, I also see more people regaining their faith in the divine.
One day after Donald Trump survived an assassination attempt on July 13, he wrote, “Thank you to everyone for your thoughts and prayers yesterday, as it was God alone who prevented the unthinkable from happening. We will FEAR NOT, but instead remain resilient in our Faith and Defiant in the face of Wickedness.” Trump’s words and actions in the aftermath earned him respect from many Americans, including some who had not supported him at the time.
I also see a change in some leaders and officials: when facing conflicts and pressure, they have begun to make decisions based on moral values and justice instead of political correctness. Ordinary citizens are once again able to say “Merry Christmas” in public without concerns.
More progress can also be seen in holding media organizations accountable. ABC News announced on December 14 that it would settle a defamation lawsuit related to its host George Stephanopoulos by paying $15 million to Trump’s presidential library plus $1 million in Trump’s legal expenses. Lawsuits with some other major news media outlets are also in progress.
Ethics and integrity are part of the soul of news media. The encroachment of communism on our society had changed many aspects of our lives, and a farewell to political correctness and the resurrection of true journalism in much needed in our world.
Looking back in history, one would find that a civilization cannot last once traditional values and morality are lost. The CCP targets Falun Gong practitioners today because the principles they follow–Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance–represent traditional values. The CCP needs to destroy these values because maintaining its own rule requires deception and brutality.
Some people oppose communism and the CCP outwardly while also attacking people of faith, including Falun Gong practitioners. In some cases, it is because their interests are still tied to the communist regime. Some are agents of the Ministry of State Security who disguise themselves among dissident communities. But in other cases, one’s values and worldview are still influenced by communist ideology; as a result, they are helping the CCP to destroy traditional values and morality, either intentionally or unwittingly.
This is why it is critical to stand with innocent people persecuted by the CCP while countering the CCP and the spread of its ideology. Only by completely rejecting the CCP and its influence and worldview can we find our true selves, along with the dignity and blessings we deserve.
