(Minghui.org) Practitioners in western France held an information day at the Place de l’écluse in Nantes on December 7, 2024, before Human Rights Day. They introduced Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) to passers-by and told them about the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) persecution.

Falun Dafa is a spiritual practice based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. In 1999, the CCP regime launched the persecution of Falun Gong. For 25 years, Falun Gong practitioners in China have been illegally detained, sentenced to prison, sent to mental hospitals, tortured, and subjected to various other means of the persecution, including the CCP state-sanctioned forced organ harvesting.

People stopped by to learn about the persecution, and many of them signed a petition condemning the CCP’s forced organ harvesting. The petition was initiated by Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting (DAFOH), and the signatures were due to be handed to the heads of the G7 countries, countries in the European Union, and Argentina, Australia, India, Israel, Mexico, South Korea, and Taiwan. People from 30 countries signed the petition.

A young customs official signed the petition after learning about the CCP’s forced organ harvesting. He said that he was aware of the situation and explained that they were collecting information on organ trafficking. This issue, like arms trafficking, is very profitable and officials need to be paying attention to it. He encouraged the practitioners and said they should continue their efforts.

A group of students from Spain signed the petition and praised practitioners for exposing the persecution.

An American high school student who was studying French in Nantes learned about the persecution and signed the petition. Many people signed the petition and wanted to learn more about Falun Dafa. They thanked the practitioners for being there and raising awareness.

A young Chinese student told practitioners that she wished to get links to different information websites and petitions, including the Chinese language Epoch Times and the END CCP website.

[Editor’s Note]: U.S. House of Representatives Passes Falun Gong Protection Act

On June 25, 2024, the U.S. House of Representatives unanimously passed the Falun Gong Protection Act to sanction those who have participated in the persecution of Falun Gong. If signed into law, these individuals could be denied entry into the United States, their assets may be frozen, and they may face additional penalties. This news is being spread by word of mouth in China and serves as a warning to those who participate in the persecution.

The Falun Gong Protection Act (H.R. 4132) was proposed by U.S. Congressman Scott Perry in 2023. It is the first time that the U.S. Congress has proposed a binding commitment that directly addresses the persecution of Falun Gong and the CCP’s live organ harvesting.
