(Minghui.org) On the morning of December 8, 2024, Falun Gong practitioners in Bali held a rally and march at Niti Mandala Renon Square, Denpasar, to observe the 74th International Human Rights Day and call for an end to the persecution of illegally detained practitioners in China and that they be released.

Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a meditation practice based on the universal values of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. Despite its great benefits in health and moral improvement, Falun Dafa has been persecuted and slandered by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) since July 1999.

Practitioners held a march and rally on December 8, 2024 in Denpasar, Bali to expose the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong in China and call to end it.

The morning’s activities began with group exercise, followed by a peaceful three kilometer-long march. Practitioners distributed informational materials and talked to people about Falun Gong, its benefits in improving mental and physical health, and the ongoing persecution in China.

Many people stopped and watched as practitioners did the Falun Gong exercises.

Public Supports Efforts to End the Persecution in China

This was the first time that Agus from Denpasar had heard of Falun Gong. He attentively listened as a practitioner explained what Falun Gong is and said he was very interested in the practice. The practitioner then explained that today’s activity was related to the serious human rights violations committed by the CCP against Falun Gong practitioners who are illegally detained and tortured for their belief.

Regarding the persecution of Falun Gong in China, Agus said, “As a human being with a conscience, I think the whole world should take action. We Balinese people support this activity because any form of persecution is inhumane and not in accord with our basic human rights.”

Regarding the persecution and forced organ harvesting from living Falun Gong practitioners, Anton said, “This must be stopped immediately. If we don’t take action, this organ trafficking may spread to other countries.”
