(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Sweden brought the Art of Zhen-Shan-Ren International Exhibition to the Gothenburg Book Fair, which was held September 26 to 29, 2024.
The book fair is one of the largest cultural events in the Nordic countries, and this year marked its 40th anniversary. Swedish Culture Minister Parisa Liljestrand and Frida Edman, the event’s organizer, kicked off the event. It drew 777 exhibitors and 93,660 visitors.
This was the fourth year that the Art of Zhen-Shan-Ren was presented at the book fair. The practitioners were part of the Global Square, an area of the fair which focuses on human rights.
People of all ages visited the art exhibition. Teachers and students visited the practitioners’ booth, as did several of the fair’s exhibitors and lecturers.
Practitioners shared the stories behind the artworks.
Young people from different high schools came and talked to the practitioner guides. They were curious about the message of the paintings and thought that several of them were beautiful. They asked many questions, which allowed the guides to tell them about Falun Dafa and the brutal persecution faced by practitioners in China for the last 25 years.
When some visitors learned that this is an exhibition that tours worldwide to raise awareness for practitioners in China, many people were surprised and upset that Chinese citizens were so badly mistreated because they believe in Truthfulness- Compassion-Forbearance. Many people also wanted to know more about Falun Dafa.
Visitors learned more about the artworks as practitioners shared the stories behind each piece.

Indian author P.K. Mahanandia
P.K. Mahanandia, an author from India, said he was moved by the beauty of the paintings depicting the inner state of practitioners as they improved in cultivation. He expressed his gratitude to the practitioners in the guest book: “Thank you very much! You spread love and energy. I wish you happiness and prosperity.”
People Learn About Falun Gong and the Persecution
Some people wanted to learn the practice.
The artworks deeply moved one woman, and she bought the introductory text Falun Gong and the main book Zhuan Falun to learn more about Falun Dafa. Since there is no practice site where she lives, she was pleased to learn that she could also learn the exercises online via a webinar.
A young woman was very touched and stayed for a long time. She was surprised that she had never heard about the persecution before and shocked that China’s regime has been persecuting, torturing and murdering people. She was moved to tears and said she would tell her family and friends about the persecution when she went back to her hometown.
