About Donations

(Minghui.org) Some practitioners in China want to make donations to Shen Yun or other Dafa projects, but don’t know how to do it. This has resulted in some problems violating the principles of Dafa cultivation.

For example, in Japan, some people set up a box in the theater during Shen Yun shows to collect donations. There is another incident in Sichuan province, where a person named Jin Xiu (锦绣) claimed that he or she can bring the money out of China and some practitioners handed money to that person. But it’s not clear what happened to the money afterwards, how much money was collected, to whom the money was ultimately given, and how much was given.

When such things happen, it’s easy for bad people to exploit the gap and cause serious consequences. It’s not clear whether there are similar incidents in other parts of China. Even for practitioners outside of China, if they make the donation through a third party, we can't verify that the money is handled properly.

I’d like to share the situation with practitioners and kindly remind everyone to be more careful when making donations.
