(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] The Case Against Mr. Hao Jingming Submitted to the Court
2. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Qi Yingjun Detained
3. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Xuelan and Her Housekeeper Arrested
4. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Ailan Arrested and Detained
5. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Jiang Zhaoying Missing
6. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Tao Yonghong and Ms. Wang Ying Arrested and Detained
7. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested and Detained.
1. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] The Case Against Mr. Hao Jingming Submitted to the Court
It was learned on December 18, 2023, that the case against Mr. Hao Jingming was submitted to the Huangdao District Court. Huang Huifang is handling the case.
2. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Mr. Qi Yingjun Detained
Mr. Qi Yingjun from Laiwu District, 63, was arrested at home by officers from the Zhangjiawa Police Station on June 19, 2023. After he was denied admission by No. 6 Detention Center of Jinan City due to his health, he was placed under residential surveillance.
Mr. Qi’s case was submitted to the Laiwu District Procuratorate on June 25, 2023, and sent to the Laiwu District Court on June 29, 2023. Mr. Qi was sentenced to four years in prison and fined 10,000 yuan by the Laiwu District Court on September 25, 2023. He appealed but the original verdict was upheld by the Jinan City Intermediate Court on November 9, 2023.
Mr. Qi was arrested at home by three officers including Qin Ligang from the Laiwu District Police Department on December 18, 2023, and was taken to the No.6 Detention Center of Jinan City.
3. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Liu Xuelan and Her Housekeeper Arrested
Ms. Liu Xuelan, in her 80s, and her housekeeper who is also a practitioner and is taking care of Ms. Liu who is in a wheelchair, were arrested around December 16, 2023, for talking to people about Falun Gong in the local community. Her home was ransacked. Ms. Liu was later released, but her housekeeper was detained.
4. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Ailan Arrested and Detained
Ms. Wang Ailan, in her 60s, was arrested for distributing calendars at the end of November 2023. She is currently held in the Jinzhou Women’s Detention Center.
5. [Hefei City, Anhui Province] Ms. Jiang Zhaoying Missing
Ms. Jiang Zhaoying from Luyang District was not heard from for more than 20 days. Before she went missing, the police told her son that Ms. Jiang was seen on surveillance cameras talking to people about Falun Gong.
Ms. Jiang was sentenced to one year in prison and was subjected to various types of persecution.
6. [Maoming City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Tao Yonghong and Ms. Wang Ying Arrested and Detained
Ms. Tao Yonghong, 63, and Ms. Wang Ying, 64, were arrested at Ms. Tao’s home by several officers at 1 p.m. on December 13, 2023. Their homes were ransacked and they were sent to a detention center.
7. [Dingxing County, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested and Detained.
Yu Aiguo, 73, who is a retiree from the Compressor Factory, Ms. Zhang Xiuping, 69, from Housuoying Village, and Ms. Tian Guoxiang, 70, from Longhua Village of Xianyu Town, were arrested on November 30, 2023. They were detained for 15 days and were released on December 15, 2023.
