1. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Yao Lishu Taken to Prison

1. [Qingyang City, Gansu Province] Mr. Yao Lishu Taken to Prison

Mr. Yao Lishu was sentenced to six years in prison by Zhenyuan County Court in May 2023. The Xifeng District Court rejected his appeal and upheld the original verdict. He is now imprisoned.

2. [Linyi City, Shandong Province] Ms. Feng Guichun Faces Trial

Ms. Feng Guichun, an employee of Linyi City Central Blood Station, was arrested by the Political Security Section of the Lanshan District Police Department on August 24, 2023. She was held in the Linyi City Detention Center for nearly five months. It was reported that her family was notified over the phone by the Lanshan District Court that she would be tried in the Linyi City Detention Center on January 18, 2024.

3. [Kaiyuan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yang Yukun Placed Under Residential Surveillance

Ms. Yang Yukun from the Xiafeidi area was intimidated and threatened by officers from the Kaiyuan City Domestic Security Division. She left home for one and a half months and developed stroke symptoms. On December 30, 2023, kindhearted people took Ms. Yang home. Ms. Yang’s husband rushed her to Sujiatun Thrombosis Hospital in Shenyang City for treatment. She was hospitalized for ten days and was diagnosed with a stroke. She cannot take care of herself.

As soon as Ms. Yang arrived at the hospital, she was tracked down and questioned by the Sujiatun police. The officers tried to escalate the persecution. The Kaiyuan City Domestic Security Division immediately issued a decision to place Ms. Yang under residential surveillance. Ms. Yang was discharged from the hospital and returned home for recuperation and treatment.

4. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Zhixia Held in Detention Center

Officers from Qingduizi Town Police Station in Beizhen City arrested Ms. Wang Zhixia, who was at the farmers market on January 12, 2024. Ms. Wang was taken to the Jinzhou City Detention Center.
