(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 9 cities or counties in 7 provinces, where at least 11 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

5. [Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Jin Shunsheng Arrested
6. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Dongmei Harassed
7. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Wang Hongli Harassed
8. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Wang Guojun Detained
9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Feng to Soon Finish Prison Term
10. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hao Liping Detained
1. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Mr. Miao Zhongjun’s Appeal Denied
Mr. Miao Zhongjun’s appeal hearing was held in the Xian City Intermediate Court around 10:40 a.m. on December 14, 2023. His family was recently notified that the court affirmed the lower court decision.
Mr. Miao, a resident of the Xincheng District, was sentenced to four years in prison and was fined 10,000 yuan by the Lianhu District Court on September 11, 2023. His personal belongs were confiscated.
2. [Xi’an City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Li Xuesong’s Appeal Denied
Ms. Li Xuesong’s appeal hearing was held in the Xian City Intermediate Court around 10:30 a.m. on December 18, 2023. Her family was recently notified that the court affirmed the lower court decision.
Ms. Li, 75, from the Weiyang District, was sentenced to three years and two months in prison and was fined 10,000 yuan by the Lianhu District Court on September 11, 2023.
3. [Wuhan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Huang Keming Detained
Mr. Huang Keming, in his 70s, is a retired teacher from Wuhan University. He was arrested at home on January 11, 2024 and held in the Wuchang District Brainwashing Center.
4. [Kaifeng City, Henan Province] Ms. Cai Qiaoling Disappeared
Ms. Cai Qiaoling went to the county government for a reconsideration process in early December 2023. The clerks secretly informed the police and deliberately worked slowly. Once she left the place, two cars followed her. When a Domestic Security Division officer got out of the car, she confronted him. Three more cars then arrived and followed her. On December 19, 2023, Ms. Cai returned to the government office for reconsideration and she has since disappeared.
5. [Xinyu City, Jiangxi Province] Mr. Jin Shunsheng arrested
Mr. Jin Shunsheng was arrested by officers from the Yushui District Domestic Security Division around October, 2023. His situation is unknown. He was sentenced to three years in prison years ago.
6. [Beijing] Ms. Liu Dongmei Harassed
Ms. Liu Dongmei was harassed at home around 10:30 a.m. on January 12, 2024, by three people. One of them was Gulou Neighborhood officer Li Hulin.
7. [Songyuan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Wang Hongli Harassed
Officers from the Jinghu Police Station went to Ms. Wang Hongli’s work unit on January 4, 2024. They made her work unit’s management have her coworkers monitor her.
8. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Wang Guojun Detained
Three officers from the Fulong Town Police Station went to Mr. Wang Guojun’s home on the morning of January 2, 2024. One of them was Zhao Zhenwei. They said they needed Mr. Wang for some paperwork and took him to the police station. That afternoon, they took him to the Nong’an County Police Department, where he was beaten by police and was forced to sign records, fingerprint papers, and undergo a physical exam in a hospital. Mr. Wang was sent to a detention center for five days’ detention.
9. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Feng to Soon Finish Prison Term
Ms. Wang Feng is incarcerated in the Liaoning Province No. 2 Women’s Prison. She will finish her prison term on January 27, 2024.
10. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hao Liping Detained
Ms. Hao Liping is a resident of Mutoudeng Town, Qinglong County. She is the caregiver of an eighty-eight-year-old Falun Gong practitioner in Qinhuangdao City. They both went out and distributed Falun Gong flyers on December 13, 2023. They were arrested by officers from the Changjiangdao Police Station after someone reported them. Her family said she is being held in the Qinhuandao City Detention Center and her case is with the Changli Procuratorate. Her family tried to bring her some clothes but guards denied their visit. The elderly practitioner was detained for several days and released.
