(Minghui.org) The Japan International Exchange Program, “Peace and Love” took place at Hiroshima Gate Park on January 14, 2024. Falun Dafa practitioners demonstrated the five sets of exercises and gave waist drum performances on stage. The exercise movements were peaceful and tranquil. Some audience members mimicked practitioners’ movements as they did the exercises. They introduced Falun Dafa to the public and exposed the Chinese Communist Party’s ongoing persecution in China.
The activity was impacted by COVID and was not held for four years. It resumed this year and was held at Hiroshima Gate Park. The park has recently been rebuilt into a plaza and commemorates the victims of a nuclear attack. Many families enjoy the park for recreational activities and during holidays.
Hiroshima’s weather was nice and warm, and people from 24 different races and ethnicities participated in the activity. The event promotes mutual understanding and allows people to learn the history and culture of different ethnic groups.

The practitioners’ booth had many informational flyers about Falun Dafa and handmade lotus flowers. There were also traditional Chinese delicacies. A mother came up to practitioners and told them that her daughter’s name had the word “lotus” in it and she liked lotus flowers. The lady told practitioners she traveled to Osaka last year to watch Shen Yun and said the show was unforgettable.
Mary from Germany was attracted to the booth and a practitioner told her about the persecution of Falun Dafa. Mary accepted a lotus flower and informational materials.

In the beginning, the committee members had not heard of Falun Dafa. They now know Falun Dafa is good but that it is being persecuted in China.
