(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 6 cities or counties in 5 provinces, where at least 7 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hao Liping Arrested and Detained
2. [Duyun City, Guizhou Province] Fu Youyan Arrested
3. [Beijing] Mr. Gao Xiang Harassed
4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Chunjie and Ms. Meng Qingxia to Be Released
5. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Fengming Arrested
6. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Xiao Yanhong Harassed
1. [Qinhuangdao City, Hebei Province] Ms. Hao Liping Arrested and Detained
Ms. Hao Liping from Mutoudeng Town, Qinglong County, was hired as a housekeeper by Ms. Liu Xuelan who is over 80 and has a broken leg. Several officers from the Zhujiangdao Police Station in the Development District went to Ms. Liu’s home at 9 a.m. on December 13, 2023. They ransacked it and arrested Ms. Hao and Ms. Liu. Ms. Liu was released later that day, but Ms. Hao was detained. Ms. Hao’s family learned about her arrest 17 days later but still do not know where she is detained.
2. [Duyun City, Guizhou Province] Fu Youyan Arrested
Fu Youyan is from Xinli Village, Handian Town in the Shuangcheng District of Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province, and now lives in Duyun City, Guizhou Province. Fu was arrested at home on December 29, 2023, along with other practitioners.
3. [Beijing] Mr. Gao Xiang Harassed
Mr. Gao Xiang, 55, from the Xicheng District has been harassed regularly in 2023. He received several calls from the Fengtai District Police Department on December 28 and 29, 2023 and was told to go to the Fengyi Police Station. He firmly refused.
4. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Liu Chunjie and Ms. Meng Qingxia to Be Released
Ms. Liu Chunjie and Ms. Meng Qingxia, both from Faku County, were each sentenced to 9 months in prison and have been held in the No. 1 Detention Center of Shenyang City. Ms. Liu and Ms. Meng will be released on January 20, 2023 and January 24, 2023, respectively.
5. [Nong’an County, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Fengming Arrested
Ms. Zhang Fengming from Xinnong Township was arrested at home on January 2, 2024. It was learned that she was placed under a 5-day detention.
6. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Ms. Xiao Yanhong Harassed
Ms. Xiao Yanhong was harassed at home at noon on January 1, 2024, by police officer Liu Hongliang and Li Yanhua, director of the Cable Factory Community in Zhongyuan District. Ms. Xiao’s mother was pressured to sign a guarantee statement.
