Gratitude—My Thoughts After Reading Master’s Article

(Minghui.org) Master’s new article “Stay Far Away From Peril” touched me deeply.

I wonder for the problems mentioned in Master’s new article, if Master didn’t address them, would we be able to realize them ourselves? If we had cultivated better and met the standard in doing the three things, perhaps Master would not have needed to write this article.

All the gods of the universe, including the old forces, have witnessed the whole process of Master’s salvation of us and everything Master has borne for us. But when we do so poorly in our cultivation, this becomes an excuse for the old forces to intensify the persecution. Master saw the danger approaching us, so he wrote articles to remind us.

Examining Our Hearts for Pursuits

When we read the article, we should not think that it was written for other practitioners and has nothing to do with us. Every one of us needs to measure ourselves against Dafa and examine ourselves on whether we’ve placed Dafa in the right position in our hearts, how much we’ve cherished Master and Dafa, and whether we are taking up cultivation with a pure heart or mixed with human pursuits.

We should ask ourselves the following questions: have we ever hoped that Dafa could resolve troubles for us? When we encountered tribulations, have we ever complained? Have our hearts in practicing Dafa ever wavered in the persecution, when we faced tribulation, misunderstanding, or resentment our from loved ones? In validating the Fa and saving people, do we find it unfair and unjustified if we feel that we have done more than others? Do we regard what we have done as credit and a reason to be complacent? And do we still have the attachment to time?

As long as our understanding of Master and Dafa is not up to par, our attachments will be exposed.

Assimilating to the Fa Through Solid Cultivation

After studying this article, many fellow practitioners have the question that after all these years of cultivation and Fa study, why do problems still arise among cultivators?

I think it is because we have not completely assimilated to the Fa, and we still have selfish attachments that we are unaware of. When these attachments are at odds with Dafa, if we do not make a conscious choice to follow the requirements of Dafa, we will be driven by the attachments and deviate from Dafa.

Every step of cultivation means choices. If we can make the choice based on the Fa, then we are walking the path arranged by Master; otherwise, we are walking a path arranged by the old forces.

Respecting Master and the Fa goes far beyond superficial formality and lies deep in our hearts.
