(Minghui.org) San Francisco’s Chinatown held its annual Mid-Autumn Festival Street Fair on September 23 and 24, 2023. Just as in previous years, Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the event. They told people about Falun Dafa, exposed the CCP’s (Chinese Communist Party) persecution of the practice in China, and helped people quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. During the two-day event, 160 Chinese people withdrew from CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Practitioners participated in the Mid-Autumn Festival Street Fair in San Francisco’s Chinatown on September 23 and 24.
Chinatown’s Grand Avenue was lined with booths. Tourists from other cities in California and other countries joined the crowds of local residents.
Practitioners offered truth-clarification materials in Chinese and English. Some demonstrated the Falun Dafa exercises, while others talked to people about Falun Dafa. They advised Chinese people to quit the CCP. Some Chinese people came to the booth and warmly greeted them.
Practitioners clarify the truth to people at the Mid-Autumn Festival Street Fair and persuade people to withdraw from the CCP.
Ms. Chen of Oakland in the East Bay came over to the Falun Gong booth and hugged one practitioner. She said to everyone else, “She and I have known each other for many years. She is very kind. I have learned a lot about Falun Dafa and I fully support you.”
A man named Chen Xiang (pseudonym) stopped by and said that he knew how evil the CCP was and that it has persecuted the Chinese people for decades. He said he also knew that the CCP harvests organs from Falun Dafa practitioners. He withdrew from the Youth League and Young Pioneers, Party organizations he’d joined in China.
When Mr. Chen Weizhi passed the booth, a practitioner handed him a flyer with information about the persecution and told him it was a blessing to know the truth. He smiled as he took it and told the practitioner he was from China. She advised him to quit the CCP. She told him about the many bad things the CCP has done and that it was wise to quit the Party “so that you will live in peace and not worry about being implicated in the CCP’s crimes. He immediately said, “Yes, I quit! I definitely quit!” He thanked the practitioner for her sincerity and kindness and quit the CCP using his real name.
By late Sunday afternoon, the crowds had thinned out. A woman from San Francisco walked up to a practitioner who was distributing truth-clarifying materials, patted her on the shoulder, and said, “You guys are doing a great job!”
