(Minghui.org) Every year, I participate in the annual China Fahui on Minghui.org, and truly feel that writing a submission is in itself a process of cultivation. During this process, I have found many of my own impure notions, human thoughts and attachments, that are not easily identified in daily life. I have also been able to break away from the harmful influence of Chinese Communist Party (CCP) culture, such as the tendency to exaggerate and plagiarize.

I once read a sharing article on Minghui about rescuing practitioners. The entire process was almost exactly the same as I had done, down to the details of collecting phone numbers and contacting various offices. So I copied and saved the relevant paragraphs on my computer. When I later wrote about my experience in rescuing practitioners, I just copied and pasted these paragraphs, without making any changes. The article was later published on Minghui and included in a special edition.

I later realized the seriousness of my conduct—wasn’t it plagiarism? Since then, I never casually copy and paste articles written by other practitioners. I understand that each article embodies the personal messages of the author, their cultivation level and gong potency. If I just copy and paste their words into my own article, how can it possibly fit? Furthermore, since it’s the wrong thing to do, my own gong will also drop.

This year, the Minghui Editorial Board made it very clear in its notice to call for submissions that “Article submissions should have clear points and be clean, solid and sincere. Any falsification or glorification of individuals should be avoided.”

Since practitioners strictly follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, how could there be such misconduct as falsification, exaggeration, or showing-off?

My understanding is that, under the constant influence of the CCP culture, sometimes we are not aware of our bad behavior and, if we have done something wrong, we can’t even see that it was the wrong thing to do.

When writing articles for submission, we are consciously breaking away from such bad behavior. I have identified many of my own bad behavior and thoughts in the process of writing sharing articles, including impure words and jealousy, and I have gradually rectified myself based on the principles of the Fa.

Every year, as soon as the Minghui Editorial Board publishes the notice for China Fahui article submissions, I start to write a sharing and encourage other practitioners to write one too. If my submission isn't published, I carefully read it again to check if I’d included any human notions or impurity.

Sometimes, I can see that I had vented my emotions in an indirect way. When I become aware of these loopholes in my cultivation, I get rid of them to improve myself.

On one occasion, I felt that I was very careful in writing my sharing article and paid a lot of attention to details. However, another practitioner’s sharing with the same theme was published, and mine wasn’t.

As I read the other practitioner’s sharing, I realized the writing was smooth and natural, and the content was clean and truthful, without any human emotion. In comparison, when I looked at my own article, I could see words that exaggerated and enhanced certain parts, while my writing lacked simplicity and rationality.

Fellow practitioners, the deadline for submissions for this year’s China Fahui is approaching. Please don't miss this precious opportunity to improve in cultivation. The process of writing a sharing article is itself a wonderful xinxing cultivation experience.

The above is only my personal understanding. Please kindly point out anything that is not in accordance with the Fa.
