(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners participated in the Lafrowda Day Festival in Saint Just, Britain's most westerly town, on July 15, 2023. Practitioners participated in the parade and clarified the truth about Falun Dafa to locals. Meanwhile, practitioners in London hosted another grand parade to raise awareness of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP)’s 24-year persecution.
The CCP launched the persecution 24 years ago in July 20, 1999. Millions of Falun Dafa practitioners, who abide by the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, have been victims of this brutal persecution. Practitioners have been peacefully resisting the persecution, and telling people the facts about Falun Dafa worldwide.

The Lafrowda Day Festival is an annual event in St. Just in Penwith, in celebration of community arts. The festival attracted tens of thousands of spectators.
Practitioners set up a booth at the festival grounds, which was eye catching to many. The table was covered with a purple table cloth and a white bib with a picture of pink lotus flowers printed on the borders. A golden banner with the words Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance was hung on the wall. A display board introducing Falun Dafa’s exercises was beside the table. Many Falun Dafa informational fliers were placed on the table, and a pink colored petition form caught the attention of many.

The petition placed on the table was to rescue Ms. Liu Pingtong, the mother of England Falun Gong practitioner Mr. Hu Xuanming. Ms. Liu is a Falun Gong practitioner and had been sentenced to eight years for her faith. She was illegally arrested once again in February 2023.
Mr. Hu Xuanming made a speech at the press conference in front of the Prime Minister’s office. He said, “I am extremely worried for my mother’s safety. My mother’s life is in danger every day.”
Mr. Hu and other Falun Dafa practitioners drove to Penzance, England to participate in the Golowan Festival parade two weeks ago. Many spectators of the Lafrowda Day parade also watched the Golowan Festival parade, and they remembered the practitioners’ waist-drum performances. They signed on the petition after learning about Ms. Liu’s situation in China.
Mr. Gavin Hoskins signed the petition and took many pictures of the practitioners’ procession and activities. He wanted to help post these pictures on social media and help practitioners raise awareness about the ongoing persecution.

Mr. Hoskins kept in contact with practitioners even after the activity ended. He told practitioners that he hung up the lotus flower with the words ‘Falun Dafa is good’ by his bed.
Practitioners participated in the Lafrowda Day parade at around 3:30 p.m. The banner “Falun Dafa is good” was fluttering in the wind, and locals took many pictures.

Trev Davies is a Boy Scout leader. Trev’s grandson was surprised to see him in the procession and ran towards his grandfather. Trev picked him up and continued walking in the parade.

There were a total of 25 pictures selected by the media outlet Cornwall Live and posted online. The first picture was of a Falun Dafa practitioner doing the meditation exercise.
