Resolving Family Tribulations

(Minghui.org) My husband was nearly 60 years old in 2021. According to social security requirements, he had to pay some insurance premiums in order to receive his pension after he retired. He told me to pay them.

My husband makes more money than I do. I only make 2000-3000 yuan each month and I pay all our family expenses. I asked my husband to pay his insurance premiums himself. He got very angry, ran into my room, and began kicking and punching me. Then he pulled back the quilt where I hid the Dafa books and MP3 player. He grabbed the MP3 player and threw it on the ground, yelling, “You have money to buy books, but you don’t have money to do other things!”

I lay down on the Dafa books to protect them, while he yelled and tried to grab them. My upper arm and chest were black and blue from his blows.

When he was exhausted he walked into the living room and sat on the sofa. He leaned back. His face was pale and he looked tired. I wasn’t angry. I comforted him and said, “Sorry, I didn’t clearly say it. You pay it, and I will reimburse you after I receive my salary. Don’t be mad. It isn’t good for you.” I then helped him to bed to rest.

I firmly told him that I will not give up practicing Falun Dafa. I suddenly felt sick and wanted to vomit. When he saw this, he said, “I’ll buy you a new MP3, and I won’t stop you from practicing Falun Dafa.”

The next day I repeatedly vomited. I called my work and said I was throwing up. My husband also stayed home. That evening I told him, “You tore up my Dafa books and threw my MP3 player on the floor. You were disrespectful to Dafa’s Master! You need to write a statement. It will be good for you.” He did not agree.

When he came home from work the next day, his demeanor changed and he asked, “How do you write that statement?” When I saw his attitude changed, I was happy for him. I told him what to write. He wrote the statement that night and signed it, “Dafa Supporter.” I asked the other practitioners to help my husband send the solemn statement to the Minghui website.

Since I overcame this family tribulation the environment in my home changed. I can now openly read Falun Dafa books and no longer have to hide from my husband when I read the Fa. I also brought Master’s photo to our home and displayed it.
