(Minghui.org) I still well up with tears whenever I think of the one and a half years I was illegally detained in the detention center for practicing Falun Gong, even though it has been quite some time since I was released.

It made me very sad when I was unlawfully arrested and taken to a detention center, because I thought I was very careful about safety. I remembered that, shortly before being arrested, I overheard a conversation between two beings in another dimension, saying that my mental state was good and that I could handle being in prison.

I was anxious upon hearing this and immediately sent righteous thoughts to negate it. But I was still arrested.

After I calmed down a few days later in the detention center. I began to clarify the truth about Falun Gong to inmates around me, and they took it well.

However, about ten days later, the head of a county police department was sent to the same cell as me.

Let me give him the pseudonym Zhang. He was detained because he had served as a protective umbrella for gangs of ruffians.

His arrival made it hard for me to clarify the truth. Whenever I told others the truth, Zhang would slander Dafa, repeating the Chinese Communist Party's (CCP) negative propaganda.

I tried to explain to him, but he never listened. He would defame Dafa whenever I told people about Dafa.

As time went by, while clarifying the facts, I also taught people around me to sing Dafa songs. My favorite song was “Coming for You.”

More than half of the twenty-plus inmates in my cell had learned the songs and would sing them with me. The aisle in the middle of the cell was my stage, and the inmates sitting on the beds on both sides were my audience.

I would sing as I walked, and perform with great enthusiasm. Sometimes, I would sing “Coming for You” loudly during recess outside the cell, and some inmates in other cells would sing with me.

One day during recess outside, I heard practitioners from other cells also singing “Coming for You” with their fellow inmates. They were so loud that we could all hear them clearly.

Upon hearing the singing from other cells, I also led the inmates in my cell to sing loudly, and we sang happily. We sang together the same way during recess, and this went on for many days.

Zhang tried to stop us from singing but failed; he was angry about it. In the end, he threatened those who sang with me that he would report them to the officers if they sang again.

He pointed to me and said to them, “He can sing, but you cannot.” Some inmates were frightened. About ten months later, Zhang was sentenced and sent to prison.

One day, Bing in our cell was transferred to the “strict control cell.” Two days later, he came back and told me: “My current cell is not righteous enough, for few people sang the song, ‘Coming for You.’”

He told me that when he was in the “strict control cell,” he could hear many people in the cell next door singing “Coming for You” loudly.

I felt bad upon hearing his story, and I said that it was my fault because I didn’t do well. Later, as I did more in-depth clarification of the facts, the inmates’ attitudes towards Falun Gong changed a lot.

Once, Zhou, who was in charge of the cell, asked me to sit in the middle of the aisle and tell them stories. I took the opportunity to explain the facts about Falun Gong, and I talked about Chinese traditional culture. I also sang “Coming for You” for them.

Those who knew the song sang along. Everyone applauded enthusiastically after we finished.

Due to the loud applause, several guards came and checked what was going on. The inmates in the cell replied, saying that I had given them a lecture, and the lecture was excellent, so everyone applauded. Later, this form of clarifying the truth became the norm.

In summer, it was very hot in the cell. Because inmates in the detention center took showers around the same time, the water was often cut off in the middle of showering.

Once, the water stopped running when several inmates were still in the middle of their shower. They looked at me and wanted me to ask Master for help.

I said loudly: “You need to do it yourself.” They understood what I meant, so they shouted: “Dafa Master, help us, bring some water, let us finish our shower.”

After a while, the water turned on again, on and off; they were very happy. As soon as they finished their shower, the water stopped. Things like that happened several times, and I was happy for them.

Later I was transferred to another cell, and the inmate in charge of that cell told me I looked familiar to him, and that he liked my appearance (we didn’t know each other).

He was very kind to me. I didn’t have to do any work in the cell, and the space for me to sleep was big. He also arranged someone to bring me a comforter as well as take care of me.

The inmates in the cell had a habit of walking around the aisle at approximately 6:00 p.m. every evening, singing their favorite songs. I would sing “Coming For You” as I walked, getting the words into the inmates’ minds.

Every day I would lead the singing, and when I sang “Falun Dafa Is Good,” everyone would sing along in unison, our voices ringing out loudly.
