(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners held an event in Pyatigorsk, Russia, to tell people about Falun Dafa and to call for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) 24-year persecution. This was one of a series of events that practitioners held in cities throughout Russia.
Practitioners demonstrated the exercises and distributed information about Falun Dafa and how it is being persecuted. They also collected signatures on a petition calling for an end to the persecution.

Many people who were interested in Falun Dafa talked with practitioners and signed the petition.
Many people who stopped by praised Falun Dafa's principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance and said they hoped the persecution would end as soon as possible. Most were shocked when they learned the extent of the persecution and said that such a crime should not be happening.
People Support Falun Dafa
Augusta and her daughter Arina
When Augusta and her daughter Arina stopped to talk with practitioners, Augusta was shocked to learn the details of the persecution. She said, “We met practitioners today and we really like this event. Falun Dafa's principles can bring peace and kindness.”
She said that the practitioners should be supported because “They are all good and kind people. We really oppose the persecution.”
Anna from Nizhny Novgorod
Anna from Nizhny Novgorod, who was on holiday in Pyatigorsk, was deeply moved to learn about Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. She said, “These three words, Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, can save our world, save humankind. I object to the CCP’s persecution of these thoughtful and considerate people.”
Arthur from Pyatigorsk used to be a reporter. He said that he has paid attention to the persecution of Falun Dafa for 15 years. He wrote an article about Falun Dafa and has read Falun Dafa books.
“From what I know, Falun Dafa originated in China and its Master came from China, but Falun Dafa has deep roots in Russia. Why? Because one of its main principles is Compassion. This is very helpful because it can unite everyone,” Arthur said.
He thinks that Falun Dafa cultivators are good people who “are fulfilling their mission” and promote Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. “Falun Dafa has a great mission, so I support them.” He signed the petition that calls for an end to the persecution.
Some visitors took group photos with practitioners and expressed their support for Falun Dafa’s values and practitioners in China.
New Practitioner: Falun Dafa Is Amazing

A friend in St. Petersburg told Olga Yarkova about Falun Dafa, and she began going to the practice site in Pyatigorsk a month ago. Her shoulders were injured years ago, leaving her right arm disabled. She tried all sorts of treatments, but nothing ever helped.
After practicing Falun Dafa for a month, she is fine and said, “This is amazing! This is a miracle. I do not know how to describe it. Falun Dafa is wonderful. I can move my arm now!”
Olga said that the persecution in China was “illogical, unbelievable, and terrifying, because Falun Dafa practitioners cultivate only for the purpose of improving their moral values and their health.”
