(Minghui.org) Another practitioner and I went to a farmer’s market in July 2011 to distribute information about Falun Dafa. Most of the farmers there were receptive. In less than one hour, we helped more than ten people quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

I became overly confident and kept raising my voice. Before I knew it, two police officers stood in front of us and told us we had to go with them.

At the police station, our bags were taken. Our materials pertaining to Falun Dafa were put on the table and we were ordered to stand next to the table and be photographed. We did not cooperate.

Then one of the officers, Gai, told me to follow him. He took me to a room filled with torture instruments and told me to cooperate with him. “I can't. If I do, you will be harmed,” I said.

He was shocked and said, “How would it harm me?”

“The persecution of Falun Dafa does not have any legal basis. The communist regime is using you to persecute us. If I cooperate with you, you will commit a sin and you will face consequences in the future.” I also told him how the CCP spreads propaganda to smear Falun Dafa, especially the “Tiananmen Self-immolation” hoax.

Gai quietly listened to me. One hour later, he brought me back to the lobby.

Shortly afterwards, several 610 Office agents came and ordered me to sign the deposition fabricated by another officer, Sen. I refused to comply and said that my cooperating in the persecution would actually harm them. I urged them to read the informational materials they took from us and not participate in the persecution anymore.

The 610 Office agents took some materials and left.

I overheard Sen complain that Gai couldn’t find enough people to search our homes, even though he had the option of dispatching manpower from another agency.

After a few more hours, Gai told us to pack our bags and he handed us our transportation cards. Then he asked Sen to take us to the bus station. Sen refused, slapped his hand on the table, and said, “We just let them go like this?”

Gai didn’t say anything, but after a short time, he brought us to the bus station himself through a small alley.
