(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 12 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Li Xiaoyan Arrested
Mr. Li Xiaoyan was arrested in the Shijiazhuang Railway Station on July 27, 2023. Many bills imprinted with Falun Gong facts were confiscated. His home was then ransacked by officers from the Fangxing Police Station in the Yuhua District and the Railway Police Department. The police confiscated over 20,000 yuan, many truth-clarifying materials, and Falun Gong books.
2. [Xilinhot City, Inner Mongolia] The Case Against Ms. Zhang Fengying Submitted to the Procuratorate
Ms. Zhang Fengying was arrested in July 2023. Her case was submitted to the procuratorate.
3. [Guangzhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Dong Lijuan and Ms. Li Yuwei Arrested
Ms. Dong Lijuan and Ms. Li Yuwei were arrested.
4. [Taonan City, Jilin Province] Ms. Lu Yanling and Her Sister Ms. Lu Yanbo Arrested and Detained
Ms. Lu Yanling and her sister Ms. Lu Yanbo were arrested at home just before the Mid Autumn Festival. Ms. Lu Yanling was released after being detained for 15 days in the Baicheng City Detention House. Ms. Lu Yanbo was also detained in the Baicheng City Detention House and is currently held in the Baicheng City Detention Center.
5. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Taken to a Brainwashing Center
Ms. Wang Yarong and Ms. Zhao Yulan from Chengfa Township were taken from their homes in Kalu Village by some people including village official Li Songlin on July 18, 2023 and were sent to the brainwashing center, where a one-day brainwashing session was held by the Yushu City Political and Legal Affairs Committee.
Ms. Han Guangzhi was also taken from home by several people and was sent to the brainwashing center on the same day. Ms. Han was sentenced to seven years in prison. Her thinking was sometimes muddled after she was released on June 1, 2023. Her condition worsened after she was taken to the brainwashing center.
6. [Chongqing] Ms. Li Ronghui Arrested
Ms. Li Ronghui, 69, lives in the compound of the former Songzao Coal and Electricity Company. She was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong in Jiangjia Market and was arrested by officers from the Jiangjia Police Station at the Jiangjia Bus Station at around 10 a.m. on August 2, 2023.
7. [Fumeng County, Liaoning Province] Ms. Zhang Guozhen Persecuted
Ms. Zhang Guozhen was arrested by officers from the Chengxi Police Station on May 27, 2022 for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was released on bail pending trial for one year. Her case was submitted to the Fumeng County Procuratorate in early April 2023 and then to the Fumeng County Court. The police arrested her twice and tried to take her to the detention center. She was denied admission due to high blood pressure. The police went to her home again on July 31, 2023. The details are unknown.
8. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
Jia was harassed at home by three people from the Shifo Police Station in Yanggu County and the Yanggu County Political and Legal Affairs Committee on July 21, 2023.
Lu was harassed at home by three officers from the Jiangguantun Police Station in the Development Zone on July 21, 2023. They photographed Lu and tried to pressure Lu to stop practicing Falun Gong.
Xu and Ren were harassed by officers from the Liaoda Police Station in Dongchangfu District on July 21, 2023.
Officers from the Gulou Police Station and Huxi Police Station also harassed several practitioners.
9. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Wang Caixia Detained
Ms. Wang Caixia has been detained for more than 15 days. It is unknown where she has been detained.
10. [Harbin City, Heilongjiang Province] Mr. Zhao Yungu Arrested
Several officers from the Xicheng Police Station broke into Mr. Zhao Yungu’s home at 7:30 a.m. on July 31, 2023. They called a locksmith to open the door. The police ransacked Mr. Zhao’s home and confiscated a laptop, a printer, seven cell phones, all of his Falun Gong books, media player, and numerous Falun Gong related materials. Mr. Zhao was taken to the police station for interrogation and was released on bail pending trial the next day. He was not allowed to go out of town.
11. [Huludao City, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Yandong Detained in Prison
Mr. Wang Yandong from Suizhong County was transferred to the No. 1 Prison of Liaoning Province.
12. [Suining City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Xiao Kunying Harassed
Ms. Xiao Kunying was harassed at home by staff members of the Duanjiadian Neighborhood Committee on May 12, 2023. She was harassed again by two people on July 4, 2023 and was photographed.
