(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 7 cities or counties in 4 provinces, where at least 19 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Tried in Court
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Wang Yajun Arrested and Detained
3. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
4. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Mr. Hu Guangshui’s Home Ransacked
5. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Multiple Practitioners Arrested
6. [Beijing] Ms. Chen Shuping Harassed
7. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Five Falun Gong Practitioners Admitted to Prison
1. [Shulan City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Tried in Court
Ms. Jiang Yanping, Ms. Zhao Changyan, and Ms. Liu Minjie were tried in the Shulan Court at 2 p.m. on July 27, 2023.
2. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Wang Yajun Arrested and Detained
Wang Yajun from Jiutai District was arrested by officers from the Qitamu Police Station on July 21, 2023, and has been detained.
3. [Fuyang City, Anhui Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Li Zongxia, Ms. Li Sulan, and Ms. Ding Meirong were arrested by officers from the Yingquan District Police Department at 11 a.m. on July 18, 2023. Ms. Li Sulan was placed under residential surveillance and was released at 7 p.m. Ms. Ding Meirong was also placed under residential surveillance. Ms. Li Zongxia is held in the Fuyang City Women’s Detention Center.
4. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Mr. Hu Guangshui’s Home Ransacked
Mr. Hu Guangshui lives in Hujingguan Village, Pengdu Township. Five people including Wang Hongxing from the Pengdu Township Police Station and village official Hu Fengchi, went to Mr. Hu’s home on July 18, 2023. Mr. Hu was not there. They ransacked his home and confiscated 33 Falun Gong books, a computer, a printer, and a storage disk.
5. [Gongzhuling City, Jilin Province] Multiple Practitioners Arrested
Several practitioners were arrested around July 20, 2023.
Ms. Cao Yumei who lives near Wenzhoucheng, was arrested on the morning of July 21, 2023. Her home was ransacked. She was taken to the Gongzhuling City Detention Center.
Ms. Zhen from Yanji City, in her 60s, came to take care of her grandchild and was arrested. She is held in the Gongzhuling City Detention Center.
Ms. Song Lihua from Fanjiatun came to Gongzhuling City to attend a wedding. Her place was ransacked. She managed to escape.
Ms. Ersao from Hejing Community was arrested and her home was ransacked. She was released after being detained for 10 hours.
Several elderly practitioners who read the Falun Dafa teachings together were arrested.
6. [Beijing] Ms. Chen Shuping Harassed
Ms. Chen Shuping was harassed at home by Liu Chunxiu from the Sanyuanli Police Station in Chaoyang District and a female staff member from the local neighborhood committee on July 16, 2023. Two guards were assigned to watch her near her home on July 21-22, 2023.
7. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Five Falun Gong Practitioners Admitted to Prison
Five Falun Gong practitioners were admitted to the Shandong Province No.1 Women’s Prison on July 17, 2023. Ms. Liu Yanmei, 75, was sentenced to a 7-year term. Ms. Sun Yuxia, in her 40s, was given a 3.5-year term. The other three practitioners, Ms. Chen Xiaohong, 55, Ms. Bai Xingwen, 71, and Ms. Guo Hongyan, 46, were each given 3.5 years.
