South Korea: Rally and Parade in Seoul Condemn CCP’s 24-year-long Persecution of Falun Dafa

(Minghui.org) Practitioners held a rally and a parade on July 20, 2023 at Seoul Plaza in Seoul to condemn the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) brutal persecution of Falun Dafa in China. They started the day’s events by doing the exercises at the plaza at 8:30 a.m. This year 80 representatives from ten groups came to support practitioners and their tireless efforts to expose the persecution. In the 24 years since the persecution started on July 20, 1999, practitioners have continuously educated the public about the human rights atrocities and called on the CCP to end the persecution.

Practitioners did the exercises at Seoul Plaza at 8:30 a.m. before the rally began.

People who went to the Seoul City Hall that morning noticed practitioners doing the exercises. Some joined practitioners. The representatives from five groups spoke at the rally to condemn the CCP’s violation of human rights.

400 Million Chinese Quit the CCP Organziations

Tsai Bingwan, president of Freedom Democracy Patriotic Group, said that he first heard about the persecution of Falun Dafa when he was in the United States. “The world must work together and stop the CCP’s brutal killing of Chinese people,” he said.

Tsai said that he was inspired by the fact that over 400 million Chinese people openly quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. “The ideology of communism is anti-humanity; it is a dictatorship of a few who cling to state power, and it hurts the people. Therefore it should be rejected worldwide.”

The CCP Will Dissolve

Kim Hyun, host of Dayner Kim TV on Youtube, came to videotape the event and spoke at the rally. He encouraged practitioners, “I have known for a long time about Falun Dafa and its activities to end the persecution. I support them and I uploaded videos of their parades on the Internet. I think Falun Dafa is good.

“The practitioners I know are kind and righteous because they practice Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance. The reason the CCP fears Falun Dafa is because once the truth is exposed, the CCP will collapse.

“The CCP did many unthinkable things, like waging wars against the Chinese people, the world’s people, and even gods. Lies will never conquer truth. When freedom arrives in China, the CCP will quickly dissolve because it is rotten to the core.”

The CCP Is a Murderer

Yin Rong, president of Alliance of Anti-corruption, said, “No one can look away when it comes to the persecution of Falun Dafa. That is why I attended this activity. We should let more people in Korea know the truth.”

Yin wants to tell more people about the CCP’s atrocity of organ harvesting from imprisoned practitioners while they are still alive. These citizens have been incarcerated for not giving up their faith. “The CCP is a murderer, and it is slaughtering those who oppose their evil deeds.”

Falun Dafa Is Wonderful

Gang Seokjeong is a representative from Citizens for Unveiling Confucius Institutes (CUCI). He said that Falun Dafa purifies a person’s mind and body and is not a religion. Being a priest, Gang said that Falun Dafa is a wonderful movement, “It allows people to have serenity in today’s muddy spiritual world.

“Quitting the CCP is the Chinese people’s yearning for freedom,” “The people in the free world should put pressure on the CCP,” he said, “We should create an environment so that those who practice Falun Dafa can enjoy the dignity, happiness and freedom like men should.”

The CCP Commits Crimes

Han Min-ho, founder and president of CUCI, said, “I stand here to support the practitioners who stand by Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and to do my part to dissolve the CCP.”

Han equated the CCP with mafia. He said, “The CCP is conducting an unrestricted warfare, as it tramples upon the basic values and international treaties and breaks all rules.

“The air-tight surveillance system, unbelievable corruption and wealth gap, the persecution of Christianity, Buddhism, Islamism, and Falun Gong, and live organ harvesting, are the crimes the CCP committed, and the reasons why the Chinese dream about fleeing the country.” “We will work with people in the world and fight the CCP until it collapses.”

Non-practitioner Joins the Parade

Yoon Hakkyu is not a practitioner but he joined the parade. He put a big poster on his car with the message, “Celebrating 400 Million Chinese People Who Quit the CCP.”

He often heard his wife, who is Chinese, talking about the persecution of Falun Dafa. “I felt very sad when I heard about the persecution,” he said, “People should be able to pursue happiness. In the 21^st Century China remains a one-party society ruled by the CCP and people live in a oppressed and closed environment. I wish there were more rallies like this and that the Chinese people quickly wake up. I hope Falun Dafa practitioners never lose hope.”

Saddened by the Persecution

Park Chanho came to watch the parade with a friend. He said that he did not know much about Falun Dafa, “The persecution is shocking. I hope everyone can tell good from evil and live freely. To persecute a group of people based on politics or personal greed is evil,” he said.

When he heard that practitioners’ organs were taken while they were still alive, he said “This is wrong. We should let more people know the truth. It’s sad that so far the media does not talk about it.”

Practitioners at the Parade

The parade took off from Seoul Square after the rally ended around noon. The parade, led by the Tian Guo Marching Band, passed by Gwanghwamun, Anguk-dong, Jogyesa Temple, Jonggak Station, the Chinese embassy, the Bank of Korea, and Namdaemun. It returned to City Hall around 2:00 p.m.

During lunch time many office workers and government officials came out of the buildings to watch the parade. They took photos and videos and asked for information about Falun Dafa.

People read the fliers and learn about Falun Dafa and the persecution.

Many practitioners came to Seoul Square that day to participate in the event. Every year they quietly walk the same route and handed out the fliers to spread the truth.

Mr. Yin Taimin distributed fliers to people along the parade route. He said, “My older brother suggested I try Falun Dafa and my character improved after I began practicing. Everything around me seemed to head in a better direction. More than 400 million Chinese people have quit the CCP, and the Party is now an empty shell. I believe that once it encounters a crisis, the CCP is likely to collapse. I hope the Chinese people can find a way to stay safe.”
