Village Party Secretaries Do Not Participate in the Persecution of Falun Dafa

(Minghui.org) I live in a rural area in China. I often talk to the villagers and the village Party secretary about Falun Dafa and how the Communist Part is persecuting it. Because the village cadres know the facts, they refuse to persecute Falun Dafa adherents and one has been blessed for his kindness.

In 2001, the township Party secretary was not happy that Wei, the village secretary, failed to collect a 500 yuan fine from a Falun Gong practitioner. Wei said that Falun Gong practitioners were law-abiding citizens and persecuting them was immoral. When he refused to change his stance on the matter, the township Party secretary fired him.

When Wei lost his job, his wife was in the hospital, his son was soon to be married, and the family was in a lot of debt. The situation looked dire for him and his family.

But there is an ancient saying: “Heaven does not play favorites but prefers those kind people who obey the Heavenly Way.”

Soon, Wei was blessed for his kindness. The owner of a large factory sought his help and paid him 5,000 yuan (almost $700) for finding a crane company for a construction job. This was a considerable amount of money in 2001. At that time, the income for a family of five in the countryside was 2,000 yuan (about $280) a year.

Then, his son married and his wife recovered her health. Wei found a job at a factory and was promoted to deputy director.

The subsequent village secretary, Qiang, also supports Dafa and doesn’t participate in the persecution. One day on my way home after working in the field, I saw Qiang walking with a group of people. He stopped me and said, “These people are from the police department. They are looking for so and so [my name]. I have not seen him, have you?”

“I did not see him.” I said.

“I have not seen him for some time now. Maybe he left town, otherwise, he should be working in the fields now.” He wisely dismissed the police who came to arrest me.
