(Minghui.org) When thinking of the Minghui website, most Falun Dafa practitioners would feel warm about this cultivation environment that we’ve had since the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution 24 years ago.
The first time I heard about Minghui was in late June 1999. Back then, we’d already heard news that Jiang Zemin, the then-CCP head, was about to persecute Dafa. As most practitioners, including myself, didn’t have personal computers and couldn’t get on Minghui, we didn’t know that practitioners at Minghui had already prepared information for us to read and distribute.
When a practitioner gave me a pile of materials downloaded from Minghui, I treasured them and shared with more practitioners, asking them to spread the material far and wide. I also printed several articles that urged the CCP not to persecute Falun Dafa and mailed them to various agencies and departments in Beijing. I feel that most people working for the CCP didn’t know the facts. We should let them know what Falun Dafa is all about, so that they wouldn’t be misled by the CCP’s propaganda.
To my surprise, most departments turned in the over 90 letters they received to the police and demanded them to find out quickly who mailed them. According to an insider, the police spent over a month to investigate, but couldn’t find any clues. Some said it was no big deal and they agreed that everything said in the letter was true. I was happy upon hearing this. After all, many people read the materials.
I thought to myself, although we are far away from Master, we have Master’s Fashen with us and we are actually very close to Master. The Minghui website is also very close to us and we can communicate with them anytime. We practitioners in China aren’t lonely. My heart was filled with righteous thoughts.
On July 20, 1999, coordinators of Falun Dafa Associations across the country were arrested. On July 22, many practitioners from our province went to the provincial government to appeal, demanding the government to release the incarcerated practitioners.
During the appeal in the early morning, most practitioners gathered on the sidewalks on four streets near the provincial government, while seven practitioner representatives went inside to talk to the officials. One hour later, the seven practitioners still hadn’t come out and the police began to arrest those who were waiting outside. It was during rush hour. The police even stopped the bus, forced the passengers to get off the bus, and then ordered the driver to take the arrested practitioners to the city stadium or other places.
With no other bus to take, some passengers stood with us outside of the provincial government. Many commented that Falun Dafa is great and they couldn’t understand why the government suddenly decided to suppress it. One person said that she heard from the elderly when she was young, that everything the CCP suppresses is good and the persecution of Falun Dafa was like another dreadful Cultural Revolution.
Not long after, several empty buses stopped in front of us. The police pushed us onto the bus. An officer asked me, “Are you getting on the bus or not? If not, you must go home.”
“I’m not getting on the bus. I’m going home.” I said to the police.
“You get on the bus.” the police said to the practitioner standing next to me.
“She is my sister. We are going home together.” I said, trying to protect the practitioner.
The police passed by us and continued to ask other practitioners.
As we walked away, another male practitioner who also refused to get on the bus joined us and asked me what we should do. “Let’s go. We can report this to the Minghui website.”
Both practitioners agreed with me. We went to the female practitioner’s home. It happened that she had just installed the software to browse Minghui, and the male practitioner turned out to be the director of the computer systems group in his workplace. As soon as we connected to the Internet, another practitioner came and asked if he could help with anything. We had a brief discussion and decided to have him go back to the provincial government on his bike, and collected information about how many buses came to take the practitioners and the time frame.
The female practitioner brought paper and pen and asked if we wanted to start writing. I suggested that we can directly type on the computer.
When the other practitioner came back, he told us that a lot more police forces were dispatched to the provincial government after we left. They arrested over 1,000 practitioners in a few hours. At least 18 buses took the practitioners to the stadium. When the stadium was full, they began to send the practitioners to nearby schools.
After we finished typing the information, we sent it over to Minghui. I was so happy to learn that it would take just a matter of seconds for the information to be transmitted.
Shortly after, we saw that our report was published on Minghui, the second one in the country. We were all very touched. Time and space couldn’t separate us, whether we are in China or not. The practitioners are one body. We were happy to be together with Master and Minghui website.
Since then on, Minghui has become an indispensable company to my cultivation. As long as I’m home, I would read the website every day. I learn from fellow practitioners’ sharing, although we don’t know each other. I also work with other local practitioners to write articles to expose the persecution, including the torture inside the detention centers, forced labor camps and prisons. We also wrote about practitioners’ personal stories, how they became better people by practicing Dafa and the persecution they suffered. All of these are precious witnesses to the history in this special period of time.
In the past 24 years, with Minghui’s company and Master’s guidance, I was able to constantly improve myself, my xinxing, and realm. Dafa tempered us and gave us wisdom, in order for us to assist Master in Fa-rectification and saving sentient beings.
I often looked at Master’s photo on the front page of Minghui and said in my heart, “I’ll forever be Master’s disciple and I’m a proud war correspondent in the battle between good and evil.”
