(Minghui.org) On the 247th United States Independence Day, celebrated on July 4, 2023, Falun Dafa practitioners from Houston and San Antonio participated in the Fourth of July Parade in The Woodlands, a community 28 miles north of downtown Houston. The practitioners brought Falun Dafa’s message of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance to the celebration. The annual patriotic event celebrated its 47th year in 2023 with the theme “America! Our Classroom of Freedom.”

Dmitri and his girlfriend said that the Falun Dafa procession was beautiful and very neat. “Their yellow costumes stood out, and they look so calm,” Dmitri said. After hearing about the persecution of Falun Dafa in China, he said, “I happened to wear a yellow shirt today. I feel I’m with Falun Dafa and resonate with them. I’ll learn more about Falun Dafa when I get home.”
Tanya is excited to find out more about Falun Dafa.
Tanya from New Jersey said she wants to believe in the values of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance. She was surprised to be told that such a great practice is persecuted in China. She learned from a practitioner how to download Falun Dafa books and planned to learn the exercises.
Jyoti would like to help spread information about Falun Dafa.
Impressed with the practitioners’ beautiful music and costumes, Jyoti asked for more information about Falun Dafa. This was the first time she’d heard about the persecution and the Chinese Communist regime’s crime of harvesting organs from living practitioners. Jyoti said she would like to sign the online petition calling for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) atrocities and help spread the information about the persecution in China.
