(Minghui.org) I was a high school physics teacher. Because I would not renounce my faith in Falun Dafa, I was imprisoned and fired from my job by the local 610 Office, an organization specifically created to persecute Falun Dafa and its followers. After I was released from prison, I was displaced.
In the summer of 2022, I tutored a junior student in physics. His foundation was poor in all subjects and he was at the bottom of the class. When I first started to tutor him, he was restless and couldn’t focus on studying. He was addicted to games on his cell phone, and his parents were so angry about it that they smashed several of his phones.
In response to his situation, I patiently guided him. I taught him the meaning of life, how to respect his parents, and why he needed to study. I also bought lab equipment and we did experiments together to stimulate his interest in learning.
Gradually, he was able to sit still and listen to lectures, and he was able to interact with me and answer questions. He did well in the small experiments.
When the tutoring session was ending for the summer, I told him about Falun Dafa and how the communist regime spread lies to demonize it. I persuaded him to quit the communist regime’s youth organizations so that he wouldn’t go down with it when it collapses. I also urged him to recite the auspicious phrases “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He listened and agreed to do it.
In October, his parents sent me the result of his monthly physics exam. He scored 93 out of 100 points, the top score in the school year. They were thrilled. They said, “Teacher, our son has never done that well in school. He is no longer fixated on his cell phone and he does his homework as soon as he comes home from school. We no longer have to keep prompting him to do his schoolwork. Thank you so much for your guidance.”
All his teachers were also surprised at how he had changed. He’d had the lowest grades in the class. He never liked to study and would sleep during class. No matter how hard the teachers tried, his scores never improved.
His parents sent him to a tutorial class. The teacher there was very responsible and spent extra time explaining the concepts to him, but the boy still did not catch on. When the teacher went to get a bite to eat, he would sneak out and go home.
His teachers could hardly believe that such a student could make the best score in physics that year. However, on the midterm and final exams, he still earned first place in physics. In addition, his grades in his other subjects improved greatly as well.
The teachers were convinced that his grades had really improved! How did he do it? After learning that he had taken classes with me, his teacher recommended me to other students.
I didn’t do anything special. I just explained the principles of physics thoroughly and had him do the exercises in the textbook and the tutoring materials issued by the school.
On the other hand, I do know that the thoughts and words of Dafa practitioners are positive and righteous. And I guided him with Dafa’s principles and helped him establish a correct outlook on life and his studies. When his mind was filled with positive things, that, in turn, stimulated his interest in learning. Dafa also helped him clear out the unhealthy things in his mind so that he could focus on studying without being interfered with by his cell phone or anything else.
His parents were overjoyed with the changes. It was a real blessing for the family! He showed me a high-end stationery box that his teacher had rewarded him with and told me that was the first award that he had ever received! I was so happy for him.
