I Experienced the Power of Righteous Thoughts

(Minghui.org) January 3, 1998, was an unforgettable day for me. I don’t know what drew me to the park where people were doing the Falun Dafa exercises, but I followed along with their movements and did the exercises.

I then felt a sudden chill all over. I didn’t know what was going on. I thought it was because I was having my period and perhaps I shouldn’t be doing this exercise, so I asked a female practitioner.

She smiled and said, “Master Li is already getting rid of the bad things in your body and purifying it. Don’t worry. It’s a good thing!”

Those were my school’s exam days, and I was very busy. My throat felt like it was on fire, and I coughed up black and yellow phlegm. I knew Master was purifying and adjusting my body, so I ignored the symptoms and continued studying and taking the exams. Amazingly, I felt relaxed two days later, and all the symptoms disappeared. I told my family how miraculous Falun Dafa was and that I would keep practicing.

That was more than 20 years ago, and I have not needed any medicine since. Dafa gave me a new life. I glory in the joy of practicing Dafa every day. I’m so grateful for Master’s mercy and salvation!

They Could Not Draw My Blood

In 2007, the police arrested me at home for practicing Falun Dafa. I was taken to a police station, but I was not afraid. I kept telling the officers the truth about Dafa. I told them it was wrong to persecute people who practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and demanded that they release me unconditionally.

The police said that they were following their superiors’ orders, and they planned to take me to a detention center. Somehow, from that afternoon until around 10 at night, they couldn’t get a car to take me.

I didn’t realize that Master was giving me an opportunity to send righteous thoughts to deny the persecution so I would not have to go to a detention center. I thought: “There is nothing wrong with practicing Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and being a good person.” I went to an extreme, and the old forces took advantage of me.

A teacher from my school then came with a car, and the police told me to go to the detention center in her vehicle. I wanted to show them I was not afraid, so I got into the car.

In the detention center, I refused to follow orders. I didn’t recite the prison rules and I didn’t wear a prisoner uniform. When the women’s cell guard ordered me to make yellow vests for the prisoners, I refused and said I did not know how to. I was determined not to cooperate with any of their demands.

One day, all the prisoners were told to go to the office to have their blood drawn. At that time, we already knew the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was harvesting organs from detained Dafa practitioners. When it was my turn, I remembered Master’s Fa:

“No matter what the situation, do not cooperate with the evil’s demands, orders, or what it instigates.” (“Dafa Disciples’ Righteous Thoughts Are Powerful,” The Essentials of Diligent Progress II)

I thought, “They will not be able to draw my blood.” With just this thought, when the syringe was pulled out of my arm, no blood had been drawn out. The person who drew the blood asked his boss if he should try again. He said, “Forget it!”

With Master’s protection, righteous thoughts disintegrated the persecution.

A Veteran Quits the CCP

I often visited nearby villages with other practitioners to tell people about the persecution.

We once met an old man pushing a cart on a rural road. We went over to clarify the truth to him, but he refused to listen, “I’m a member of the CCP and a veteran. I don’t believe anything you say!”

At this time, I remembered Master’s article, “My Thanks to Sentient Beings Who Have Sent Greetings,” which had just been published.

I said, “Sir, let me recite the new article written by Mr. Li Hongzhi, the master of Falun Dafa.” I recited it to him. He listened attentively and remarked, “What he said is really good! He really cares about people! Please help me quit the CCP. You may use my real name.” He was very thankful. I told him he should thank Master Li since it was he who told us to save people.

A Village Party Secretary

At a market fair, I approached a middle-aged man sitting on an electric bike looking at his cell phone. He said he was waiting for his wife.

When I asked if he had heard about quitting the CCP, he said, “You are a Falun Dafa practitioner, aren’t you? Please leave. I’m a village Party secretary. The higher officials just offered us bonuses for reporting Falun Dafa practitioners! Don’t say anything else, or I will call the police to arrest you.”

I wondered whether I should leave or continue talking, and I was worried about getting arrested. Then I remembered Master’s words:

“Should you have fear,it will seize upon youIf thoughts are righteous,evil will collapse ...” (“What’s to Fear?” Hong Yin II)

I sent out a thought to disintegrate all the evil factors that were manipulating him and hindering his salvation. He then changed his attitude and said kindly, “Please leave quickly. I won’t report you. You should pay attention to your safety.”

Seeing this sudden change, I said, “I sincerely want the best for you. These days, there are so many natural and man-made disasters. Safety and peace are a blessing. Quitting the CCP will be good for you and your family. The CCP has done so many terrible things—80 million Chinese have been killed in its political movements! They are now persecuting people who practice Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and even harvesting their organs for profit. This is a crime that has never been seen in all of human history! Heaven will eliminate the CCP. If you quit it, Creator will protect you.”

He smiled and said, “I will. Please use my real name to quit the CCP.”

I advised him to use his power to protect practitioners in his village. “I understand,” he said. I was so happy another life was saved!

A Final Word

After practicing for more than 20 years, I have come to understand that Master arranged everything. Without his protection, I would not be where I am today. I also realized that, as practitioners, we can only have the power and righteous thoughts to save sentient beings by studying the Fa well.
