(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners from Romania and Moldova held an event in Palas Mall in Iasi, Romania on May 30 and June 1, 2023 to introduce the meditation practice to the public. They told people the physical and mental benefits of the practice, and how Falun Dafa is persecuted in China. The practitioners taught many children and their parents how to do the five sets of exercises. They also taught people how to fold paper lotus flowers and the meanings behind the flower.
Practitioners held an event at Palas Mall in Iasi, Romania on May 30 and June 1, 2023, to tell people about Falun Dafa. They taught children and their parents how to fold paper lotus flowers, and described Falun Dafa’s values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.
In the process of teaching people how to fold paper lotus flowers, the practitioners explained Falun Dafa’s principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance and told them about the ongoing persecution of Falun Dafa in China. The practitioners told visitors that many children in China have suffered unspeakable tribulations because they lost their parents in the persecution.
The children enjoyed participating in the activities and thanked practitioners for telling them about Falun Dafa.
Three Teenagers Touched by Falun Dafa
Three teenagers learned how to fold paper lotus flowers. After learning about the persecution in China, they encouraged practitioners and said, “Everyone must work together and, with firm belief, keep moving forward.”
Three young men came to fold the paper flowers twice, and the second time they offered to make something for the young children. Matthew and Alex loved the lotus flowers that decorated the booth. After learning how little children in China became orphans after losing their parents in the persecution, Alex said that it was important to hold activities like these to help people understand what was happening to Falun Dafa practitioners in China.
Alex believes that the teachings of Falun Dafa, especially Truthfulness, are what people need in their everyday lives.
The young men wished to give a message to practitioners suffering in the persecution: “Everyone must work together and, with firm belief, and keep moving forward.”
Children Interested in Falun Dafa’s Universal Values
After Delia, 12, learned how to fold the paper flowers, she brought her 7-year-old sister Teodora the next day. She said they enjoyed the activities because they made her happy. Teodora pointed to the Chinese characters of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance and said that those were her favorite words.
Ten-year-old David folded paper flowers with his younger sister. As they made the flowers, the practitioners told them stories of young practitioners in China and said that following Falun Dafa’s principles would bring them wisdom and inner peace. Before David left, he said that he wanted to live by these values.
Dozens of children and their parents participated in the practitioners’ activities in the mall and brought the universal values home with them in their hearts.
