“You Are the Future of Humankind”

(Minghui.org) After the Chinese Communist Party began to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, practitioners from all over the world have been resisting the suppression by telling people the facts about Falun Gong and the severity of the persecution.

Tina, a young practitioner, is one of them. She went with her husband back to his native Taiwan to settle down six years ago. Three years ago, she started making phone calls to China every night from 7:30 to 10:00, hoping to connect with her fellow mainlanders. 

She told them about the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)’s propaganda defaming Falun Gong as well as how the CCP’s tyranny has harmed the Chinese people, and urged people to make the right choice in the face of good and evil.

As a result of her calls, many people realized the truth, including those “Little Pinkies”—young mainlanders who are die-hard fans of the CCP. Even those who benefitted from the CCP went from rejecting and criticizing her stance to thanking her sincerely for her efforts.

There were also people who had already come to know the truth and supported Falun Gong. Some said to her, “Falun Dafa is good, Master Li is a great teacher.” Some even reminded her, “You must protect yourselves, you are the future of humankind.” All these experiences motivated and inspired her to persevere in making phone calls. 

Here are some of her stories.

One man in his 30s and his entire family are all CCP members. This man claimed that he even worshipped Mao. Although he was obstinate and impatient, he didn’t hang up. Tina pointed out his misconception that the Party represented the nation of China.

The man kept reminding her of the time, “I chatted with you for over 30 minutes.” “I chatted with you for over 50 minutes.” 

In the end, he said, “You have such patience with someone like me. I learned a lot from you, I really must say.”

Tina did not want to give up on him and called him a second time. He happened to be busy. The third time she called, they talked like friends. She sensed that the other person did not have the same misunderstandings as before and was able to start thinking about things on his own. At the end of the call, he finally agreed to quit the CCP and its related youth organizations. 

Another man was also very emotional and he could hardly listen as Tina was talking. Tina kept reminding herself to keep calm. She ended up talking to him for 80 minutes and answered many of the questions he had. Soon, he opened up to her like a friend, and the conversation became pleasant. He agreed to quit the CCP and its related organizations. Tina even suggested that he read Zhuan Falun, the main book of Dafa, which he happily agreed to.

A middle-aged, Christian man was persecuted by the CCP and held in prison, where he met Falun Gong practitioners. When Tina called him, he told her that he used to misunderstand Falun Gong, but since he learned of the truth in-depth while in prison, he changed his mind completely.

“Falun Gong practitioners are very kind,” he told Tina. “I no longer believe the propaganda.”

Another middle-aged man also learned the truth. He believes that Falun Gong practitioners are the “kindest people in the world.” He kept telling Tina to take good care of herself since the persecution is still going on. He told Tina, “You, Falun Gong practitioners, are a breath of fresh air, you are the future of humankind.”

Looking back on the past three years, Tina is hopeful for the future.

“We just want to plant a seed of kindness,” she said. “Maybe we can’t see it blossom right away, but I believe it will take root and sprout some day.”
