(Minghui.org) May 13, 2023 was the 31st anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction and the 24th World Falun Dafa Day. Elected officials in Orange County, New York, issued proclamations and letters, commending the universal values of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance advocated by Falun Dafa. They appreciated the courage and firm belief of Falun Dafa practitioners in safeguarding their beliefs.
In order to thank practitioners for their contributions to the New York community, Steven M. Neuhaus, County Executive of Orange County, New York, and Robert S. Jankowski, Supervisor of Hamptonburgh, Orange County, proclaimed May 13, 2023 as Falun Dafa Day in Orange County. Matthew Howell, Town Supervisor of the Town of Mount Hope in Orange County, sent a congratulatory letter, wishing all Falun Gong practitioners a happy World Falun Dafa Day.

The proclamation reads, “In 1996, Falun Dafa was introduced to New York, and has since grown to include hundreds of practitioners. To the people and community in Orange County (New York), Falun Dafa practice sites and online class offers people free instruction and teaching which improve peoples mental, moral, and physical wellbeing and contribute to a more healthy and harmonious society.”
“To the people of China, Falun Dafa provides a source of strength in the face of oppression; although the practice is banned in the land of its origin, practitioners persevere in the pursuit of their spiritual beliefs, risking imprisonment or worse.”
