[Celebrating World Falun Dafa Day] Falun Dafa Saved My Whole Family

(Minghui.org) I am 67 years old. It’s an honor to be able to practice Falun Dafa. Thanks to the practice, not only have my diseases disappeared, but my family members have also been blessed in dangerous situations for supporting Dafa. My husband recovered from a malignant colon tumor. My mother regained her eyesight, and my 37-year-old daughter finally gave birth to a baby after two unsuccessful pregnancies.

I am happy to share my family’s miraculous stories as we celebrate the 24th World Falun Dafa Day on May 13, 2023.

Stubborn Illnesses Disappear After Practicing Dafa

I had multiple diseases, including severe cold stomach, tinnitus, appendicitis, frozen shoulder, and low hemoglobin. The area around my stomach always felt cold, as it was full of ice, especially in the winter. The stomachache was unbearable. When my colleagues were wearing beautiful dresses in the summer, I had to put on a wool vest to stay warm. I sought all kinds of medical treatment, but to no avail.

I also suffered from insomnia and tinnitus due to neurasthenia. The frozen shoulder made me unable to lift my arms. The appendicitis caused frequent stomachaches. Because of low hemoglobin, my face was sallow at age 35.

One evening at a colleague’s wedding banquet, a good friend told me that she had started practicing Falun Dafa. She said that she finally knew the meaning of life, which was to return to one’s original true self. She invited me to practice it together with her. I kindly rejected her, with the excuse that I was busy with work and taking care of my young child. But, it was the atheist indoctrination by the Chinese Communist Party that prevented me from taking up Dafa back then.

Not long after, another friend also shared with me that she was practicing Falun Dafa and she was going through a body cleansing cycle. Out of curiosity, I asked her to buy a Dafa book for me. Two days later, I received three books, Zhuan Falun, Further Discussions on Falun Dafa, and Zhuan Falun Volume II.

That night, I read the first lecture of Zhuan Falun before I went to bed. I felt this book was very special. The principles taught in the book were brand new to me. It was fascinating. While sleeping that night, I felt very warm. I also was unable to move or get up.

Next morning, I did not find anything wrong with my body. I must have had a dream, I thought. After reading the second lecture of the book, I realized that my feeling last night was real. Master was purifying my body! It was unbelievable, like a fairy tale! I then had a strong wish to finish reading Zhuan Falun.

I also learned that there were five sets of exercises, and immediately borrowed an exercise videotape from my colleague. After dinner, I eagerly started to learn the exercises.

My arms and shoulders hurt very much when I did the Falun Standing Stance exercise, but I persisted. I was able to sit in full lotus position for half an hour on my first try. Although my legs hurt so much, I was very happy and felt comfortable afterward.

When I was making the bed one day, I suddenly realized that my shoulders no longer hurt. My sleep was much deeper and I could eat more food. A few days later, I felt warm in my stomach, and it no longer hurt. What a big change!

After only half a month, all the diseases that had plagued me for years disappeared completely. It was really amazing! Master gave me a new life, and freed me from medicine jars. Tears ran down my face. “Thank you, Master!”

More than 20 years have passed. I have not taken any medicine since then. Now, I am very healthy and energetic. I can ride a bicycle fast, as if someone is pushing me from behind. My family and friends all say that I look younger than my age.

Husband Recovers from Colon Cancer

My husband was diagnosed with colon cancer eight years ago. I felt like the sky was falling. But I quickly pulled myself together because I knew that my husband could find hope in Dafa.

After the surgery, the biopsy result indicated that he had a malignant tumor and might only have less than one year to live. As the doctor couldn’t treat him, he urged my husband to see a cancer specialist and receive radiotherapy or chemotherapy.

After we got back home, I seriously urged him to practice Dafa and that only Master can save him.

My husband slowly nodded his head because he has witnessed all the changes I had experienced from practicing Dafa. He lay on the bed and looked at me with relief.

My husband lost more than 30 pounds after the operation. But no matter how painful the incision was, he persisted in listening to Master’s lecture audios every day. He also recited the auspicious phrases “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”

My husband told me, “There seems to be a small stream of warm air flowing through the wound all the time.”

I was happy for him, “Master is taking care of you now!”

My husband’s health kept improving on a daily basis. It’s also more frequent for him to smile. One month after the operation, he was able to walk slowly by himself. His appetite increased, and he started to gain back the weight. Half a year later, his weight gradually returned to 150 pounds.

Eight years have passed, my husband has not had any physical discomfort. He can drive, cook, do grocery shopping, and take care of our grandchildren without feeling tired. In the past few years, his annual physical examinations all turned out to be great.

Now my husband reads Zhuan Falun and does the exercises every day. When conflicts arise, he sometimes handles the situation better than me.

My whole family witnessed the extraordinary power of Dafa once again. We are grateful to Master for giving my husband a second life!

Mother Regained Her Vision

My mother underwent cataract surgery in her left eye when she was 82. After the surgery, she completely lost her vision. My whole family panicked. An ophthalmologist told us that due to her advanced age, they couldn’t operate on her again and we might have to accept the fact that she became blind.

I invited my mother to stay with me. “You don’t have to think about anything, but just lie down and calmly listen to Master’s lectures.” I said to her. I also urged her to recite “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.”

My mother is a very kind person. She had read Dafa books before and told her neighbor about the auspicious phrases. After reciting the phrases for a while, she was delighted to tell me one day that she could see light!

“I really can see things again!” she exclaimed.

My mother walked to the window and looked out for a while. She looked at herself in the mirror, wearing a big smile from ear to ear.

Since then, she has believed in Master and Falun Dafa even more. It was a pity that she never seriously practiced Dafa. She died at the age of 92.

I knew very well in my heart that my mother was blessed by Dafa and she was rewarded with a longer life.

Daughter Gives Birth to a Boy

My daughter had not given birth for six years after marriage. Two of her previous pregnancies stopped when the embryo reached 40 days old. The whole family was worried and anxious, especially her mother-in-law.

My daughter was pregnant again at 36. Due to previous experiences, she was under tremendous mental pressure and shrouded in pain. I encouraged her, “Read Dafa books thoroughly and Dafa will definitely help you.”

My daughter has read Zhuan Falun once or twice when she was in high school, and believes in Dafa very much. Encouraged by me, she picked up the book again and also recited “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” Her mental state was stabilized. Without noticing it, she made it through the terrible fetal arrest period.

When my daughter’s pregnancy reached fourth months, the doctor said that the fetus exhibited signs pointing to mental challenges. The doctor recommended that she get another examination half a month later. My daughter didn’t tell anyone about the news, and she went home to study the Fa diligently.

My daughter asked to have the re-examination seven days later. The doctor reluctantly did a fetal examination, and everything turned out to be normal this time.

“I knew the baby would be fine now,” my daughter said excitedly.

Before labor, my son-in-law asked the doctor for a possible Cesarean section, given my daughter’s age. The doctor said that the decision should be made on the basis of actual condition. Before entering the delivery room, my daughter comforted everyone, “Don’t worry. I am protected by Dafa, and everything will go well!”

Having waited outside the delivery room for about one and a half hours, the parents of both parties received text messages from my daughter, saying, “The baby boy weighs 8 pounds and 6 ounces. Both mother and child are safe.” My relatives, friends, and colleagues were all amazed.

My little grandson is smart and cute. He is pre-destinated with Dafa. At one year old, he liked the most to look at an auspicious doll on the Falun Dafa calendar, among many toys at home. He even could accurately recognize the phrases “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” in the picture.

When he was one year and five months old, whenever he saw me studying the Fa, he would rush over to hold the book Zhuan Falun. I asked him to cherish the book, and he would say “I will cherish the book” every time he holds the book again. He said that he could read “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” He also sat in double-lotus position, with palms upright, imitating my posture of sending forth righteous thoughts.

When I demonstrated the five sets of exercises to my daughter’s mother-in-law, my little grandson was also learning it. He was so cute! I thought that this child was unusual, and he came here for the Fa.

When my grandson was three, he looked at Master’s portrait one day and said, “I cried when I saw Master for the first time.” I was moved and hugged him tightly in my arms. This little child understood everything! My tears could not help but flow down. Master has bestowed upon us this bright child!

Conclusion

All the countless miraculous experiences, one after another, prove that Master’s Fa teachings are truly heavenly secrets.

Master said,

“It was Dafa—the Great Way of the universe—that created the cosmic body, the universe, life, and all of creation. Any life that turns away from Dafa is truly corrupt. Any person who can align with Dafa is truly a good person, and will be rewarded and blessed with health and happiness. And any cultivator who is able to become one with Dafa is an enlightened one—divine.” (“On Dafa,” Zhuan Falun)

My family and I, as well as many Dafa disciples and sentient beings, are very fortunate to have been blessed by Master in this great era.
