Nevada, U.S.: Elected Officials Commend Falun Dafa and Its Founder

(Minghui.org) May 13, 2023 is the 31st anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction and the 24th World Falun Dafa Day. Governor Joe Lombardo and Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony of Nevada, presented a certificate of commendation to Mr. Li Hongzhi, the founder of Falun Gong, thanking him for his contribution to people’s physical and mental health.

Nevada State Senator Jeff Stone, State Assemblywoman Danielle Gallant and Assemblyman Ken Gray issued a proclamation to commend Falun Dafa. Clark County in Nevada proclaimed May 13, 2023 as Falun Dafa Day.

Certificate of Recognition from Governor Joe Lombardo of Nevada

Governor Joe Lombardo of Nevada stated in the certificate, “I want to recognize your contribution to this ancient tradition. The practice has transcended cultural and national boundaries to bring health and inner peace to many people, including Nevadans.”

Lieutenant Governor Stavros Anthony stated in the certificate, “The State of Nevada recognizes the 24^th anniversary celebration of World Falun Dafa Day and how this holistic practice has transcend cultural and national boundaries to bring better health and inner peace.”

Proclamation from Nevada State Senator Jeff Stone, State Assemblywoman Danielle Gallant and Assemblyman Ken Gray

The proclamation reads, “Many people who practice Falun Dafa experience dramatic health benefits such as newfound energy, mental clarity, and stress relief and additionally, many find a deeply rewarding spiritual path, which was critically beneficial during our pandemic. 

“Falun Dafa was first made public by Mr. Li Hongzhi – a native of Changchun, China, now living in the United States; a five-time Nobel Peace Prize nominee; a recipient of a Freedom House International Religious Freedom Award; and a nominee for the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought by the European Parliament.

“Since 1998, Falun Dafa practitioners in Nevada have brought their wisdom to the Las Vegas and Reno communities by providing several thousand residents free teaching of the exercises, parades, art exhibits, and public workshops with the intent of encouraging people to enjoy a healthy, harmonious, and peaceful way of being. 

“That Nevadans are encouraged to acknowledge and highlight Falun Dafa’s values on this special day and honor Falun Dafa’s remarkable contributions to our society.” 

The Board of Commissioners of Clark County, Nevada, proclaims May 13, 2023 as Falun Dafa Day.

In the proclamation, the board, “encourage all citizens of Clark County to celebrate the significance of the contribution made to the development to the community on this special occasion and provide continued support to Falun Dafa to prolong their values of truthfulness, compassion, forbearance, and spiritual growth.”
