(Minghui.org) May 13, 2023, was the 31st anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction and the 24th World Falun Dafa Day. Courtesy resolutions were issued by a Missouri State Senator and three House Representatives in honor of Falun Dafa and World Falun Dafa Day.

State Sen. Justin Brown’s resolution stated, “Falun Dafa, also called Falun Gong, is a holistic and spiritual practice used to improve the mind and body through slow-moving qigong exercises and adherence to the principles of truthfulness, compassion, and forbearance.”
“Falun Dafa was originally taught in China by Mr. Li Hongzhi, and is now practiced by more than one hundred million people in more than eighty countries, and many volunteers throughout Missouri have been actively involved in their communities, providing Falun Dafa exercise instruction and cultural awareness.”
“The Missouri Association of Falun Dafa provides numerous free resources for individuals who are interested in Falun Dafa’s teachings through the Zhuan Falun text, videos, writing, exercises, and other online resources.”
“Many people who practice Falun Dafa find it to be life-changing and experience dramatic health benefits, as well as newfound energy, mental clarity, and stress relief.”
“The Missouri Falun Dafa Association’s mission is to promote the universal ideals of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance, and to preserve and promote traditional Chinese cultures.”

World Falun Dafa Day was first designated on May 13, 2000, to celebrate the Falun Dafa spiritual discipline and its positive impact on the health and spirit of millions around the world. The occasion also highlights practitioners' efforts to uphold their freedom of belief in the face of brutal persecution by the Chinese communist regime. May 13 marks both the anniversary of Falun Dafa's public introduction and the birthday of its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi.
