(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Hungary celebrated the 24th World Falun Dafa Day on Heroes Square in Budapest on May 7, 2023. They introduced Falun Dafa to the public. They also called for an end to the persecution perpetrated by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
May 13 is World Falun Dafa Day. Master Li Hongzhi started to teach Falun Dafa to the world on May 23, 1992. Every year on this day, Falun Dafa practitioners around the world hold activities to celebrate the introduction of Dafa.

Heroes Square is the most iconic and largest square in the Hungarian capital and a popular destination for tourists. They watched practitioners with interest, and many stopped to read the posters about Falun Dafa and the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa (also called Falun Gong). They also took pictures of the exercise demonstration.

When a bus full of Greek tourists stopped at the square, the tour guide went over to the practitioners’ booth and asked about the event. Practitioners talked to him, asked him where he was from, and then handed him a Falun Gong leaflet in Greek.
When the topic turned to the CCP’s persecution of Falun Gong, the tour guide was shocked. He said, “This persecution is heinous. I’m going to bring the whole tour group over here so you can tell them about Falun Gong.”
Everyone in the tour group signed the petition calling on the Hungarian president and government to condemn the persecution and support Falun Gong practitioners.

The weather was good, and many tourists saw the Falun Gong activities. Tam, the organizer of the event and a Falun Gong practitioner in Hungary, said that he felt encouraged, saying, “The event was a success.”
