Bulgaria: People Learn about the Persecution and Support Falun Dafa

(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Bulgaria held activities on April 29 and April 30, 2023, to raise awareness of the persecution of Falun Dafa in China. They set up booths in Plovdiv and Stara Zagora and displayed information on boards and banners. They distributed brochures and paper lotus flowers and collected signatures on a petition condemning the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) serious human rights violations.

The activities were a continuation of their events on April 25, 2023, in front of the Chinese embassy in Sofia to commemorate the 24^th anniversary of the April 25 peaceful appeal. On April 25, 1999, thousands of Falun Dafa practitioners went to Beijing to peacefully appeal the violent suppression and arbitrary arrests of practitioners in Tianjin.

A spring shower did not stop practitioners from clarifying the truth. This man took a brochure from the booth and read it right away.

People stop to read the display boards and talk with practitioners to learn about the Chinese regime’s persecution of practitioners.

Many people had a chance to learn that the CCP has been persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners, who follow the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, for 24 years.

A group of women in Stara Zagora had never heard of Falun Dafa, nor had they heard of the CCP’s atrocity of organ harvesting from living practitioners. After a practitioner explained the persecution to them, they wanted to sign the petition and voice their support in calling for an end to the persecution.

One of the women said, “How can such a cruel thing happen? We all need to help stop it!”

A group of teenagers with skateboards stopped at the booth in Stara Zagora. They were shocked to hear about the human rights atrocities happening in the persecution. They learned that the CCP harvests organs from living practitioners in China and sells them for huge profits to foreign and domestic transplant patients.

“It’s unbelievable. With such advanced modern technology, how could such a crime have been hidden for so many years,” one of the teenagers lamented.

Many people signed the petition to support practitioners and to call for an end to the persecution. People especially loved the beautiful lotus flowers that practitioners had handmade with words about Falun Dafa on them. They were happy to take the little lotus flowers home.

A woman who learned about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa signed the petition at the booth in Plovdiv. She also brought a young girl over to sign it.

Mitko, a well-known antique bookseller in Plovdiv, likes to collect qigongbooks. He has great respect for Falun Dafa and Falun Dafa practitioners. He signed the petition.

Stefcho, known for collecting [celebrity] autographs, stopped by the booth. When he learned about the live organ harvesting, he said, “I am very pleased to have the opportunity to sign at this important event.”

A young man in Stara Zagora wanted to know more about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa. After he heard about the situation, he said that he had learned how evil and harmful communism is from his parents. “Everyone should try to bring it down,” he said.

This man works for a security company. He signed the petition to support practitioners’ efforts to end the persecution.

A security company employee also stopped by the booth in Stara Zagora. He signed the petition to oppose the CCP’s human rights abuses. “I sign it with the sincerest heart!” he said. “Communism is extremely evil.” He believes that communism should not be allowed to exist anywhere.
