Argentina: Fourteen Elected Officials Send Congratulations for World Falun Dafa Day

(Minghui.org) Fourteen elected officials in Argentina co-signed a letter of congratulation to Falun Dafa practitioners, praising the principles of Falun Dafa and their efforts in Argentina to improve society. May 13, 2023 is the 31st anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction and the 24th World Falun Dafa Day.

World Falun Dafa Day was first designated on May 13, 2000, to celebrate Falun Dafa’s spiritual discipline and its positive impact on the health and spirit of millions around the world. The occasion also highlights practitioners' efforts to uphold their freedom of belief in the face of brutal persecution by the Chinese communist regime. May 13 marks both the anniversary of Falun Dafa's public introduction and the birthday of its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi.

Elected officials who co-signed the letter

The letter reads, “On the occasion of the 24th annual celebration and the 31st anniversary of the public introduction of Falun Dafa, I express my greetings and congratulations on the spreading of the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance.

“I welcome the fact that Falun Dafa, an ancient spiritual discipline of the Buddha School rooted in traditional Chinese culture, is practiced by millions of people around the world, contributing to a healthier and more harmonious society.

“I also note the efforts of Falun Dafa practitioners to raise their moral standards by living according to the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance, while experiencing remarkable health benefits through exercises and meditation.

“The teachings of Falun Dafa impart the idea that when the heart is pure, the mind balanced, and the body vigorous, health and happiness are a natural result. That is why people who practice this spiritual discipline strive to leave behind addictions and bad habits, and families seek to live together in peace; at the same time, they invite the community at large to embrace what is virtuous.

“It is noteworthy that, during these difficult times, Falun Dafa practitioners throughout Argentina organize free activities for the community, on a voluntary basis, such as teaching the 5 exercises outdoors and organizing online workshops, as well as different cultural activities.

“Considering that Falun Dafa was introduced in China by its honorable founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi, on May 13, 1992 and has been celebrated annually since 1999, I join in the celebrations for this year’s anniversary.”

This congratulatory letter is co-signed by 13 elected officials, including 10 members and former members of the Congress of the Argentine Nation, Gustavo Mola, a member of the Buenos Aires Legislature, Santiago Vargas, member of the Chamber of Representatives of the Province of Salta, and Mayor Javier Noguera of the city of Tafí Viejo in the Province of Tucuman.

Letter from Francisco Sebastían Rolón, Director of Ceremonial and Public Relations, from Posadas

Practitioners in Argentina received a salutation letter from Francisco Sebastían Rolón, Director of Ceremonial and Public Relations, from Posadas, the capital city of the Province of Misiones in the North of Argentina, which borders the countries of Brazil and Paraguay.

Sebastián Rolón first came into contact with Falun Dafa in 2014, when he was the Director of the Multicultural Center of Misiones. Upon seeing the beauty of the Zhen Shan Ren Art Exhibition, he was profoundly moved and did everything he could so the exhibition would be successful, including sponsorship. From that moment on, Rolón has not stopped collaborating with Falun Dafa practitioners, inviting them to participate in the Misiones Book Fair and teach the Falun Dafa exercises in the Multicultural Center. He has also read Falun Dafa’s main book, Zhuan Falun.
