(Minghui.org) Marysville Mayor Jon Nehring issued a proclamation declaring May 13, 2023, World Falun Dafa Day in the city. May 13, 2023 is the 31st anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction and the 24th World Falun Dafa Day.

The proclamation reads, “Falun Dafa is a peaceful self-improvement practice rooted in traditional Chinese culture that consists of five gentle exercises including mediation, and moral teachings connected on the values of Truthfulness, Compassion and Tolerance.”
“Falun Dafa has helped millions improve their health and moral standards as well as deepen their understanding of life, the universe and virtuous ways of being through the practice of Falun Dafa.”
“Falun Dafa transcends cultural and racial boundaries and contributes to the universal dream of a peaceful, tolerant and more compassionate society.”

World Falun Dafa Day was first designated on May 13, 2000, to celebrate the Falun Dafa spiritual discipline and its positive impact on the health and spirit of millions around the world. The occasion also highlights practitioners' efforts to uphold their freedom of belief in the face of brutal persecution by the Chinese communist regime. May 13 marks both the anniversary of Falun Dafa's public introduction and the birthday of its founder, Mr. Li Hongzhi.
